A bit of history amongst the sports.

Patrons of every sport,

Be forewarned: The following is rather lengthy, and merely informational.

On the occasion of my obtaining the highest WoL rank for the three RDI sports, instead of celebrating myself, I decided that I wished to make notice of the acheivements of others in the three sports of the Duel of Swords, the Duel of Fists, and the Duel of Magic.

Last week I started to look over the standings, and pour through my memory, for those celebrated in more than one sport. At first, I thought the number would be small, but it kept growing and growing and growing up to a total of 25 (although I expanded the criteria for inclusion, so I shouldn't be surprised). I had first intended it just to be one list, but as it grew, I decided to separate it into groups of individuals that shared characteristics.
Keep in mind I do not intend for this list to rank any of these people, as this is merely for your information.

Also, if anyone has any additional information or corrections, feel free to post them here, and/or contact me. Although this was compiled without the help of any RDI historians directly, I wish to thank Kalamere for his long service in compiling the DoS history, and Turienal for her current work in keeping it updated. I also wish to thank Roland for his compilation of the history of the DoF Opals. Without their prior work, this list would most
likely not be possible, or at least not as detailed.

Here we go...

Titles in all three sports(1):

Contextint "Dexter" Montoya:
DoS: Baron of the 8th. Two Defenses. Now Warlord
DoF: Won Yellow Opal in tourney, lost in first defense, now Emerald
DoM: Arch-Mage for one cycle. Now Mage Emeritus.

Jeffrey Oakenshield:
DoS: Baron of the 5th, 7th (thrice), 9th, and currently Baron of the 8th. Numerous defenses.
DoF: Diamond a couple times. Won Yellow Opal in tourney, gave it up to take Diamond. Now Emerald
DoM: Mage

"Anthonny":
DoS: Warlord, retired.
DoF: Emerald, retired.
DoM: Mage (Last dueled in January, so basically retired)

Walker Boh:
DoS: Warlord
DoF: Emerald
DoM: Mage

Other notable performances in all three sports (must currently hold at least 5 WoL in each sport) It is merely a coincidence that they all have held a title.(4):

Marzan DeBurgo:
DoS: Warlord. Top prize claimer in a tournament, but the only prize was a free OL challenge and lost in it. Possibly setting a record in activity for the cycle, with well over 250 duels.
DoF: Once Diamond, but retired the position. Original Green Opal holder, forfeited it. Now Emerald.
DoM: Mage

Falablah Dalegate
DoS: Was Warlord once, now a Grand Master
DoF: Held Green Opal. One defense. Now Emerald
DoM: Mage

Avery Shiv Blade:
DoS: Current Baron of the 6th
DoF: Emerald
DoM: Wizard

Harris D'Artainian
DoS: Was Warlord once, now a Grand Master
DoF: Holder of Green Opal, currently under challenge
DoM: Sorcerer

Lucian:
DoS: Baron of the 5th from tourney, no defenses. Currently Warlord.

Tarl Cabot:
DoS: Baron of the 8th. No defenses. Now Warlord.
DoF: Holder of Yellow Opal. Two Defenses.

Nova Grey Shadow:
((The apparent change of character associated with the SN "NovaShayde" kinda complicates matters. Hopefully there's no screw up here))
DoS: Baron of the 6th. Warlord, Retired
DoF: Original holder of Blue Opal. No defenses. Now Emerald
DoM: Nothing to Note.

Lord Harvest of Atlantis: ((I assume these were both done by the same person, although I really have no hard evidence.))
DoS: Baron of the 2nd through tournament. No defenses. Retired Warlord (?)
DoF: Nothing to note.
DoM: Second (?) Arch-Mage, believed to hold for one cycle. Mage Emeritus, retired.

Ulath Fici:
DoS: 9th Overlord, Baron of the 3rd, 7th, and 8th. Defended 7th, then forfeited it. Won 8th in tourney, then forfeited it. Defended 3rd twice. Now Warlord.
DoF: First Diamond. Original holder of Red Opal, forfeited it. Emerald, retired.
DoM: Nothing to note.

Connor McCloud(?)
DoS: Retired Warlord
DoF: Nothing I know of, though he's way before my time.
DoM: First Arch-Mage. Held title for 2 cycles twice I believe, making 4 in total. Mage Emeritus, Retired

Daegarth Mithmellon:
DoS: 22nd Overlord, Baron of the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. Defended only the 8th, and did so thrice. Currently Warlord.
DoF: Nothing to note.
DoM: Mage.

Ralez Raistlin:
DoS: Warlord
DoF: Holder of Red Opal, acquired by defeating Falablah Dalegate after Ulath's forfeit of it. One defense.
DoM: Nothing to Note.

Roland Sal Roa:
DoS: Original and current Baron of the 12th. One Defense.
DoF: Emerald.
DoM: Nothing to note.

Steven Glowacki:
DoS: Baron of the 3rd. No defenses. Now Warlord.
DoF: Emerald, retired.
DoM: Nothing to note.

Jake Thrash:
DoS: Warlord
DoF: Emerald. I'm pretty sure he was a Diamond once, which merits his inclusion here.
DoM: Nothing to note.

Lupton est Dracoern: (Note: his name's changed from Lupton, to Lupton est Lathadoscia, to the present)
DoS: Baron of the 4th (twice), currently Baron of the 9th. Three defenses in second holding of the 4th, two in current holding of 9th.
DoF: Emerald, retired.
DoM: Nothing to note.

(These are subjective, but are based on highest WoL rank in two sports, with a better history in one sport allowing a less accomplished history in another.)

Gloria Blaze:

Topaz Eludes Arkanan:
DoS: Baron of the 9th, no defenses. Now Warlord

Huma Dragonbane:
DoS: Baron of the 4th, 4 defenses. Now Warlord.

A few corrections already.



Marzan should be moved to the "held highest WoL rank in all three", by virtue of the information provided. I had him where I put him in the list when he was still a GM, and didn't remember to move him.



Percival and Lord Harvest should be moved there as well, as they did both obtain the highest WoL rank in DoM and DoF respectively.



Connor MacCleod (name corrected) should be moved as well to the "Other notable performances in all three sports", as he did reach the rank of Ruby in DoF.



Additionally, I have confirmation the Lord Harvest was the second Arch-Mage and that Jake Thrash was the third Diamond.

Young man, while I certainly applaud your work in this, I was rather disappointed to see Miss Gloria Blaze as the only woman on your list. Has former Emerald and Overlady Siera Redwin truly slipped from the public mind so greatly? If so, it is certainly a sad day for me after my years of watching the duels from afar.

I only knew of Siera's great skill in the arena. And there was no available information on really old Emeralds, such as Siera. I am sorry for the omission, and I will add it to my own list.
