I will be waiting...

Lady Drakewyn,

I shall be watching over you and yours, tonight was looking very favorable until a small mishap led to the demise of my hopes and dreams, such is the way of things that I cannot change; but I most certainly can react. Mine is a business of the shadows, waiting until such a time that the moment to strike is right. Unlike last time I will not mysteriously disappear, nor will I forgive this injustice, I shall not leave until revenge is mine.

Keep close watch nae only to your back, but to the back of that lovely daughter of yours Delilah, for her blood is the same that runs through your veins; to taste either from my blade to my lips would be sweet. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and m'lady I am as cold as they come.

Sincere and very serious,

Jonathan Ringo
Former Baron of the 8th

Mr. Ringo,

Though, ordinarily, I would just pass such a post by as idle ranting, for some reason I am driven to comment on yours. To accuse an RDI of injustice is a very serious matter indeed. Just why do you believe yourself to have been wronged, and how was it done? I am very curious.
Also, to threaten an official in such a fashion is a also a very serious thing to do. To hold someone personally responsible for your defeat, or for their official decisions as required by the rules, is rather excessive. To publically threaten them for it is rather low. I have disagreed with Drakewyn in the past, and I am sure I will do so again. I disagree with a lot of people, and everyone disagrees with me. But to threaten her? Disgusting.
What troubles me the most, however, is not the threat to the Lady Drakewyn. I am far more concerned by a grown man threatening a woman's child. Even mentioning the name of the Lady's daughter in your already crude and degrading missive would have been the height of bad form and poor taste. To threaten Delilah, however, is vile, despicable, unmanly, and totally obscene. It is one thing to threaten a grown woman of proven skills and abilities who
is in a position to defend herself. It is quite another to threaten a young child. I had been impressed by yuor showing the first day of the Tourney. Your threats have also impressed me. In exactly the opposite manner. And far more than your showing did.
It seems to me that you have a very serious problem with the issues of sportsmanship and conduct. You were eliminated from the Tourney. Bear it like a man, not a baby who throws a tantrum when he does not get his way. If you feel that, truly, an injustice of some sort has been done then you should report it to all involved and hope that it is righted. If it is not, again, bear it like a man. On the other hand, if you are merely upset, and
blowing off some steam, you picked a tasteless and depraved manner in which to do so.
Finally, if you are serious, I am deeply saddened that any of us would make such a statement. Rest assured that if you are serious, there will be people watching you too. People who do not take kindly to children being threatened by overgrown babies who are unable to lose like a man.

Mr. Ringo,

Drakewyn is my friend and whatever is between you, I wish to hear her side

Let this be a warning, come after Delilah, an innocent child, and I will personally gut you like a freshly downed buck. I watched that child come into this life and attended her birth. I'll be damned before someone takes that child from her family.

Mr. Ringo, and others.

Rest assured my daughter is well protected, both her father and I see well to that.
I appologised to you for your misunderstanding of my calling a single round. I had felt that I had called the round clearly enough, yet apparently you misunderstood me.
If you have an issue with me, it had best be taken up tonight or your revenge will simply have to wait a few weeks... the reasons for that I will post in a moment.
I bore you no malice, and in fact was privately hoping you would win that particular duel.
If you think to kill me... you will have a harder task than you could ever realize, trust me. You may be cold, but my blood is the blood of the Dragons of Velcour, and we are the Children of the Sun and our Hearts are Fire...
Despite your threats, I still hold no malice towards you... and should you attack me, I will defend myself without malice to you... But should you bring violence to my daughter, there is no power on heaven or earth that will keep you alive for even a week.

With Respect,

Lady Drake, aka the Gryphon

Ringo~

I will keep my blade extra sharp, in case you have a wish to dive upon it.

Any harm comes to that child or her mother, and there won't be enough of you left to pour into a grave.

Ringo, whoever you may be:

It's not often a man can do something so despicable and craven that I would mark their name with the deepest despisement.. But you have threatened an honest woman who I and others care for, and in an even more low and base, vile act, you make claims to harm Delilah, a picture of innocence, and as it happens, my daughter.
Your stomach-turning threats will be to no avail: I shall not lose a second child to a sub-human creature which does not have the backbone to accept defeat, nor the brains to refrain from placing death threats before a community brim full of easily-angered men who stockpile weapons.

Ringo, retract your despicable tirade, and keep your breath; you forfeited the opportunity to step away from the ring with dignity, salvage the moment and step back with your tail between your legs.

In defense of a woman who's honor is more than defense enough, and in defense of a daughter who's safety and prosperity is his upmost duty...

-General Perrinis Alabaster, bearer of the Seventh Ring.

Ringo,
There are always misunderstandings in duels. Simply live with the fact that you did not win the duel. If you base the whole outcome of the duel on one misunderstanding (and react in a similar way as this), then maybe you don't deserve to be a baron. Duelers who many respect realize that misunderstandings occur, and yes, it upsets them. However, they don't blame it on the caller or themself; they realize it was a misunderstanding.
I will state this, though. Sometimes a duel does revolve around the outcome of a round, because it determines how you would act the next round. It's not fair though to act so vehemently when it WAS just a misunderstanding. That's the meaning of this whole topic. A bad case of communication, a slip of the tongue, a misunderstanding, whatever you wish to call it; it was not meant to cause harm. It's this that makes me believe you are not
even a man; you choose to kill one's child (as Perri said, a figure of innocence, like all children are) just to "even the score"? That's the act of someone who is so weak they have to hurt others to try to show power.
Secondly, when I saw you walk out of the arena after you lost your second match, without even congratulating your opponent (yet taking the time to write a death threat to Drake and her daughter), I believe you don't deserve a ring. Can't you be proud that the person you lost to was one of the top four? In all honesty, I was quite proud my last tourney, because the two duelers who beat me became barons. I gave it my all either way, win or
lose.
Face it, Ringo... This isn't one of those once in a lifetime opportunities. You can always challenge, by gaining ten peer wins, or wait three more months till next tourney. Disappointed or maybe a hint of aggrivation is always acceptable, when you lose a grand tournament (believe me, I know from the couple times I fought it). Now, as Perri said, I believe you owe a major apology. Not only to Drake and Delilah, but also to Gimmzak (whom I
believe was your opponent whom you walked out on). He won the duel, fair and square, which guaranteed him a ring. Not giving him any congratulations is equally dishonorable.

Simply,

Any daughter of Drake has to be twice as ignorant and idiotic. I hope Mr. Ringo stomps the baby's head in, while mommy watches. HAHAHA!

It's interesting how some homicidal maniac (no offense to Ringo, or anything) makes a death threat, and immediately everyone else puts their own two cents in, except for Ringo.

Naturally, now everyone will jump on Skyler's back for his comments(not that he isn't asking for it, and is deserving of it), and somehow someone will bring up the definition of honor.

Perri,

You said "nor the brains to refrain from placing death threats before a community brim full of easily-angered men who stockpile weapons.
"

Come now, it's not only easily-angered men ...it's tempestuous and volatile (not to mention cruel) women who also stockpile weapons.

And sky...you're a jerk.

Ringo, what makes you thinmk you can come out of retirement and threaten people, you -only- came out of retirement because of the tourney, making baron is not everything, Whatever Drake did, she didn't do it on purpose (if she did anything) You need some bifocals and better concentration. Try Listening to your call next time.
Sincerely,

Tom
