Dwarven Celebration

Long after the people had left, the congratulations, the warm wishes. He sat there, in the same chair he always sits, looking about the arena. A genuine smile tugs at his lips as he thinks of all the friends he's made. His gaze moves down to the ring adorning his finger, a shiver runs through his body, and his smile grows wider.

He has slain dragons, fought evil mages, been in some of the toughest situations known to man, and yet this small gold ring means more then any of that. The sense of pride he felt as he took the ring was unlike anything he had ever experienced.

Gathering his things he stood and smiled again, heading off toward home. His walk home seemed to last mere moments, he walked in the clouds, paying nothing else any mind. As he approached the gates to the massive fortress set inside his home, Dragon Mountain, he paused, pondering waking everyone now, or waiting until morning. With a chuckle he decided to wait and walked to the gates, the massive iron doors parted and he stepped through, giving a nod
to the century on duty.

He no sooner made it into the antechamber, when candles sprung to life, illuminating the large chamber. Over 1500 dwarves, near half the clan had somehow gotten word of his victory and stood there, cheering their king. Gimzak's smile was wider then ever.

The dwarves cheered and the ale flowed all the rest of the night, and well into the next day, the celebration for their king was one unlike anything ever witnessed before. Speeches were made, games were played. The dwarves celebrated Gimzak's accomplishments in true dwarven form. Reciting his deeds, from the first orc he slayed, to the dragon's, all the way to his final accomplishment, capturing the 11th Baron's ring as a prize in the Tournament. The
partying went on until the last dwarf passed out from exhaustion.

Managed to weasel himself into Dragon Mountain and get really drunk with a bunch of dwarves. Knew they would bust out the best dwarven spirits for this celebration, and not fool enough to miss that oppurtunity. Never got to see Gimmzak or congratualte him but left him a present. A Star Ruby with a dwarven battle axe encircled by a crown carved on one face and the StoneCutter clan symbol on another face, the
words; "Stonecutter Disco Dwarf Baron of Swords" wrapped about the symbol. He figured he would know who it was from. Man the hangover the WarDrac had for several days.
