Does this form of invalid challenge nullify his right to make a real one this cycle, Golden?

Of course, what else can we expect but an invalid challenge, from a boy who's lack of discretion and brainpower (as evidenced in his tacky wardrode) would qualify him as nothing more than an invalid.
