Friends and Patrons of the Duel of Swords
I, Lord Dalamar Ar'Daumon, do hereby accept the challenge made by the OverBorg. The match will be fought on Sunday, the 13th of September at 9 PM by the Eastern Clock. We will duel under the moonlit skies of The Battlefield, and I have secured the honorable Alais 'd Nitesong Sidhe to officiate the match for us.
As always, I will be dueling under the silver and black of the Oldest House and I will be wielding Vengeance: The Blade Half in Shadow. My Second will be my good friend Warlord G'nort Dragoon Talanador, and my Lady of Honor will be the beautiful Lady Sidartha Elgarette.

I am going to send everyone into apoplectic shock now. You will not believe I could have possibly made this post. You will be convinced someone is impersonating me or forging my signature, or controlling me magically. Who knows, maybe someone is. I do know one thing though. This is post is really how I feel about this challenge.
Dal, smack him down. I may want a new Overlord, but somehow I don't think that the OverBorg is what any of us need. You have my support in this one, little as that means.

I have heard much about this challenge, but I am unfamiliar with the challenger. Who exactly is he, and why do people seem to be against him, almost nervous about him winning this?

We have our differences....you and I, there was, and still is a friendship within me for you, though I am sure things will never be as they once were.
A time comes old friend that the mantle will be wrested from your shoulders, and yet....though I believe you will thrive from being beneath its weight, but I ask, as one warrior to another, nay....I charge you. This is not the time.
Fall not to the hand of this OverBorg, as I know him not, and seeming countless others also know him not. I cannot....and will not stand under a man, thing nor god that has not met my blade and bested me in the least of once.

However unusual it may seem, I actually agree with the majority of what you have written. It was for very similiar reasons that I challenged Xenograg for my first reign as Overlord. There is one small detail, however, that I feel should be corrected.
Overborg, the challenger, is not "new" of record or to the sport. He actually achieved the rank of warlord over a year ago. Just under three months after you yourself acheived that rank.
As I said.. I agree with most of your sentiments, just thought it important not to chalk the Overborg up as a new duelist.
