Anon, a small statement. Unless I am seriously mistaken, a peer win is not valid til it is listed in the standings. Since several of your listed wins are from this week, I believe you need to wait til the standings arrive, next week, to make this challenge. Unless you have other peer wins, of course.

Next time someone challenges with Illegal Peer wins, you all should keep quiet and say nothing. This way the person who makes an improper challenge learns their mistakes on their own and suffers the proper punishment.

I am too nice a guy to sit back and say nothing. I wouldn't let someone suffer that sort of mistake. I see it as the duty of us all as residents of the community and sportsmen to correct such a mistake and allow them to try to do better. Besides, being nasty to the guy isn't going to make him nicer to people.

Where as I don't normally get into these things, I must ask those of House Rising a question. It appears as if your views on the rules are a bit... slack. You wish to aid the community, then in turn, break(by not enforcing them) the rules that have held the community together all these years.
In my opinion, why have the rules if you aren't going to enforce them? Your only allowing those who break them to add an even weaker image of the Duel of Swords than you currently see. In the 'Golden Days' you claim to wish to bring back, I don't recall any of the elder duelist talking about retractions of challenges and invalid peer wins.
The RDI's off the Duel of Swords don't ask much for the services they give. Going by their rules and 'punishments' is a small price to pay for such an honorable, and organized sport to continue... regardless of your need for a 'challenge'.
May want to think on that.

In the Golden Days I remember so fondly, we were a little more polite to newcomers than we are now. I was simply polite enough to inform Anon of his mistake. It is called common courtesy. I don't see how it is in anyway offensive or breaks the rules, as it allows him to understand it and not make it in the future.

I'd advise you to take your kindness to a local charity. For this is a bloodsport... fought, lost, and won with ones blood. You wish to be kind, but kindness rarely has place in these rings.
Expecially in a situation such as this.
In my opinion, by informing Anon about his mistake, your allowing him to get away with a lesson he should have otherwise recieved. Now, he will no doubt be challenging within the next weekend. Yet another rushed challenge, lacking most qualities that I have come to understand the 'golden days' challenges held.
