Below is a copy of the missive I directed towards Baron Avery, listing my intent to challenge.

Sartan

::Pausing a moment before tacking a copy of his letter to the Baron upon the board, Sartan instead looks to the heavens and whispers, "I won't dishonor you twice, Old Friend..." Closing his eyes to fight back the rush of memories that come to him, Sartan reaches forward, adding one small addendum to his note. ::

Let it be known that I duel in honor of the memory of a friend.

::With that added, he reaches forward and tacks the copy of his letter to Baron Avery upon the Cork Board and heads home to train, as Sartan will do all in his power to honor the memory of someone he'd once had a case of hero worship for, a person who became one of his closest friends, and then a person whose life had been cut short, much too short. No, Sartan would not allow...no, he would not permit another dishonor to come to pass upon the memory
of this man. ::

Baron Avery,

I do hereby challenge you for the 6th Baronial Ring. I bear you no personal malice, but I feel that I would like to hold the Baronial Ring held by Nova Grey Shadow, as I must avenge the dishonor I allowed to pass to his Tulwar, and I can think of no way better to do that than by winning the only Baronial Ring he ever held. That coupled with your obvious dislike of Dalamar, even to the point of stating your intent to challenge him prompt me to make
this challenge. As I am a loyal supporter of Dalamar's reign, I feel I should step in and attempt to halt you somewhat, if I am able.
