Worth of the Baron of the Twelfth.

I had always hoped, since I first won the twelfth, that the ring would stay in honorable, and more importantly, worthy hands throughout its stay in these rings. Optimistic hope, yes, but something that I could have taken pride in, as well as anyone else who earned this ring.

Regardless, I'd never thought I'd doubt my own hands in this hope.

I seek answers, and the only way I feel to gain those much needed answers, is to face an advisary, a challenge. No, nothing as trivial as a peer win will do, or even a duel of honor.

Thus, I offer an intercision free challenge to any Warlord that qualifies. I will hold no grudge against you personally, should you win the ring as some in the past have, for I will know the ring is in good hands.

I promise an honorable duel. Carried out in the same fashion as my past challenges.

Should I still go unchallenged untill the first of November... I will retire the baronial ring and title onto the Warlord's Tournament and attempt to regain the ring at the end of the cycle.

Roland,

I would think you have little to fear. You are most certainly an honourable man, and it is my belief that you are worthy of your ring. I know we have not always agreed, and on one occasion we did not even like each other very much. However, I like to think we settled our differences. I certainly know that I have a great deal of respect for you.
In my opinion you are both an honourable man and a worthy Baron. However, it is not my opinion that matters, only your own. I sincerely hope that you are able to lay your heart and mind at ease. Whatever you may need to do in order to accomplish it.

My friends,

Thank you for the kind words. I'm truely honored by them.

I do, however, feel this the right path. For the answers I seek will be found while I prepare and face this challenge.

As someone said, honor will not be found in a duel. Indeed, it won't. Honor is found from within. The journey to such self-enlightment is reached through challenge, tests, and advisaries. I believe myself honorable, a bold statement to make, I know, but it is how I feel. But does every honorable being deserve a Baron's ring?

I doubt my ability as a Baron. Through this challenge I will test not only my skill with the blade, or ability to conduct myself in an honorable fashion, but a mental and emotional test.

I wish to know *why* I doubt myself.

I wish to confirm what the rest of you seem to believe.

I feel this challenge, this advesary, not just the duel, will be the means to find those answers and do away with the doubts.

And my journey does appear to begin tonight, good fortunes all.
