"Gods, I'm bored," she thought.
Jaycy stared at the ceiling of her room on Wil's ship... and stared, and stared, and finally, she blinked. She had woken up about midafternoon, but hadn't moved. Not like she really had a choice... no one had come in to help her up. Needless to say, she was getting quite restless. It would have been easier on her, had she been able to sleep, but no... she had been out for a full day, and now recovered from her self-induced unconsciousness, she
simply couldn't.
What it did do was give her a lot of time to think. She could only hope the girls were okay, and not worried... and the same with Rix. Hopefully someone had gone to RhyDin to let someone... anyone know she was safe, and where she was. But she simply didn't know. Worrying anyone was really the last thing she wanted to do, and it was nagging at her. Ah well, she should be back to them soon enough.
Slowly, her train of thought changed... it shifted from thoughts of her family to those of her work. Rell was prolly expecting those predictions, and she simply hadn't gotten them done. And well... she could only hope she would be back in time for her calling shift on Saturday. And her challenge. Her challenge! Inwardly, she groaned. She had written the letter, with the intent of sending it later this week, but now she didn't even know if she'd
be in RhyDin by then. Now she didn't know what to do... what if someone challenged before her? A silent sigh... it appeared she might not be challenging after all.
Slowly, she pushed the depressing thoughts from her mind and focused on happy thoughts, those of her family...

He sat in the chair, smiling to himself as he smoked his pipe. He was proud of his daughter-in-all-but blood, and had reason. Even with all the trouble from this Khan fellow, she was still strong on the inside, and wasn't about to give in. She had changed, he mused, thinking of her relationship with the young gentleman. She was growing up, and even as she found herself with less and less physically, her strength of will was nothing short of
amazing. For instance, that note he had found in her office. It was of importance, that much he could tell right away, as it had been officially signed and addressed, with a note to make copies and who to distribute them to.
Knowing what a busy woman she was, he simply assumed she had left the office before she had a chance to send it. His intention had been to clean the office anyway for her, so why not do this too? And so, as soon as he finished the general cleaning, he had prepared the letter, and sent it on its way.
With a smug smile at his apparent thoughtfulness, he reached over and took up the brandy he had been nursing, while he pondered the gypsy's reaction to finding out he did it.
