This night, October 9, 1998, I did officiate at the challenge match between Warlord Jaycynda Ashleana and Baron of the Third Ring Evan Rush Rynth.

Jaycy dueled under her own colors, combined with those of HDT... midnight blue, silver, and forest green. She dueled for the Honor of Rix Favre, and Roland Sal Roa stands as her second.

Baron Rush Rynth dueled Loyal to the Overlord and under the colors of white and blue. He had no second, and his Lady of Honor was his wife, Lexi Rynth.

The match was played out as follows:

Round 1 Ring of Honor - Jaycy starts out with a low cut, swishing the
rapier fast towards the Baron, but he is ready and counters with is own
style of low cut. No points in the first round.

Round 2 Ring of Honor - Jaycy's stop hit is a sight to behold...*sigh*...or
so I'm told. But Evan comes in fast with a high cut to score a point.
Round 2 score 1-0 Evan.

Round 3 Ring of Honor - Trading attacks this time, Jaycynda swings high,
Evan reaches low, and both hit and score.

Round 4 Ring of Honor - Both cautious this round with fancy parries,
Jaycy's is lateral, Evan's is circular. No points.

Round 5 Ring of Honor - Jaycy's stop hit is performed quite well, but her
style isn't as fancy as Evan's duck.

Round 6 Ring of Honor - It's amazing! Jaycy's fancy and exquisite circular
parry is perfect foil to Evan's low cut of sorts.

Round 7 Ring of Honor - Jaycy's lat parry is fancy indeed, but my friend
here says that Evan's prance to the side was just toooooo cute. Full point
to Evan.

Round 8 Ring of Honor - We're seeing what makes these duelists so
good..their skill is exceptional. Jaycy's stop hit is in just the right
place to stop Evan's thrusting attack.

Round 9 Ring of Honor - Each stops the other with their low cutting actions
this round.

Round 10 Ring of Honor - Evan ends up with a headache when his fancy duck
brings him at just the right place for Jaycy's thrust to catch him in the
forehead.

Round 11 Ring of Honor - It 's a wonderful round!

High cut from Evan and a Low cut from Jaycy cause both to
gain points, but only Jaycy gains the WIN!

FINAL: XJaycyndaX def. XvEvan, 5-4 in 11 rounds

NEW Baron Jaycynda Ashleana declared her alignment as Renegade.

Well dueled!

The commoner peruses the announcement, one fine raven brow lifting. A glance to the quill hanging on its ribbon, recalling the deceit of both the former Baron and the new Baroness. Taking up the quill she pens a note, tacking it to the board.

Thy reign ended in deceit and defeat Evan.

Thine reign begins in the same manner, Jaycynda.

May the ring rest heavy on thine hand, Baroness, and may it not rest there overlong.

Jona,
Common as they come.

Deceit, Jona? Just how did Jaycy deceive anyone? Because she went Renegade? Did she tell anyone that she would not go Renegade? People assumed what they wanted to assume. I was pretty sure she would go Renegade. Because I know her. Maybe if you knew her better, Jona, you might have guessed right. Maybe then you wouldn't feel so badly at having deceived yourself.
Jaycy is a friend of mine. I would appreciate it if people did not accuse her without cause. Moreover, I would appreciate if they did not attempt to curse her reign. Jaycy is a good woman who will wear the ring better than her predecessor did, regardless of his alignment or hers.

You couldn't have echoed my words more soundly Perci. I don't see how she was decietfull. Jaycy has long been against some of Dal's policies. I think it's pretty crass to start out her holding of the ring with a bit of mud slinging. I also knew she would go Renegade, and although I am a loyal suporter of Dalamar, I back my firends ahundred percent in their choices.

Well won Jaycy, may you wear the ring with honor.

Evan,
Well fought it was an excellent match.

Shakes her head reading Jaycynda's missive, snags the quill, pens a note tacking it to the board.

Jaycynda,

Tis ye have chosen thine path for thine own reasons. Though I made no mention nor comment as to thine choice of alignment, both thee and Percival jump to defend it.
Thine alignment suits thee, wear it well.

Jona.

Jona,

I am curious as to why you made such an evasive post. Both of us asked how you felt that Jaycy had been deceitful. You seem to have sidestepped that question completely, and instead make comment about her choice of alignment. If you think she has been deceitful, tell us how she deceived anyone. Don't fall back on empty rhetoric.
