Comrades of Swords,

I have come to RhyDin to duel, because I have heard from other travelers of the planes it is a fun and interesting past time. In my short tenure here only since the begining of the current cycle, I have been every WoL achievable rank possible at least once for a weekend each. I have as yet to try or even hold one of the challengeable title ranks.

Now I am a Warlord, and soon will be seeing how I fair against my peers. And of course thoughts of perhaps one day trying for a title will probably come to mind. However, from what I have witnessed in the Arena with my own eyes and read upon these boards, causes me to become ill. This is a sport, a place to sharpend our skills with the blade for a time when we might really need them. And it is also a community that becomes involved with each
other on many different levels.

Perhaps I am blind or deaf, but what I seem to find here is alot of talk and less action. People promising this and swearing to that, only to find justification to break their word or some technicality to go back against thier word. I would say to be cliche, that Duelers make strange drinking partners and bedfellows. For I am finding myself weary of most, and distrustful of the whole process to the point of apathy. I come to duel, maybe have a
chat with a comrade or two, and relax. If this community continues to fight at itself from the inside then who knows from what outside source the end may come from.
