Patrons of DoS,
The council of Barons has reached a decision concerning the Overlord challenge match that was to have taken place between LordovDale and HumaDragbn. This decision is final unless overturned by the Officials. The decision and overall vote are supplied below for your examination.
Thank you for your patience of allowing the Council to bring forth it's decision.

The questions the officials have of the Council, for the sake of clarity, are thus:
1) What penalty is levied against the Overlord because of the forfeit ruling, if any?
2) How does the Council decide on how this matter should be concluded?
The findings of the council are:
1) Dalamar will not be stripped of his title as Overlord and shall retain his title.
Overlord Dalamar Ar'Daumon, shall pay to RhyDin charitable organizations a sum of 10,000 gold crowns and in the history of his reign there shall be filed a notice of censure. Also, in repayment to the community, the Overlord shall sponsor a social event of his choosing.
2) The challenge from warlord Huma DragonBane is void and the warlord shall not again, this cycle, be able to challenge for this title. However, the council has chosen to leave his peer wins intact

I, for one, do applaud the council for making the proceedings known to the community, and do laud each Baron for the fortitude to make their feelings, opinions and decisions known.
M'Lord Kalamere, thou mayest have long forgotten a small debate thee and I had when the concept of the council wast aborning and the first decisions were to be set forth. I recall commenting that the council wouldst need be aware that their decisions wouldst set precedent. I applaud this council for setting the precedent of opening the council debates unto the community.
Tis nae mistaking that I am most heartily in agreement with the Council's decision in this matter with respect to both M'Lord Dalamar ArD'aumon ast well as the decision rendered with regard to the Oathbreaker, Huma Dragonbane.
Each of thee, the members of the Council have now, if ne'er before displayed for all the community one of the meanings of bearing the burden of wearing a Baron's ring. By doing such, each of thee who didst make thine thoughts and feelings known hast presented to those who wouldst seek to wear a Baron's ring in future, an example of both honor and courage. As I've stated time and again throughout these proceedings and throughout the yeards, the Barons Council is not to be bound by precedent. As such, if a matter as this comes again before the council, I would truly hope that those who hold the titles do not look blindly to the decision we have made here. Each case should be determined

And it be with pride that I read ya decision this day. Ta Huma did swear under oath ta many witnesses present, including ta illustrious RDI Reiver, our own Nycholas de Gyrlington who attended specially to officiate ta match between Jeff and ta Huma.
Ta Huma did challenge me Jeff: Jeff walk away from his Baron's ring or ta Huma walk away from ta Challenge if he lose.
Ta Huma lost. Ta Huma did then, go back on his word and did go as far as to slap ta DoS, ta Baron's Council, and everyone who hold honor dear. Ta Huma choose ta flaunt his useless word as his banner, and he claimed ta right by ta blind rules ta try and fly that standard in ta Arena in ta place of ta Over Lord.
But ta Huma done forgot ta meaning of one of ta rules: Ta rights of ta Baron Council ta review and make judgment. Ta rules mayhaps are blind, but ta Baron's Council just proved they could see.

I still don't get it. I've said it before, I am not taking sides, just saying how I see things and trying to figure it out. Don't jump my case.
Granted, Dal had personal matters. Still, he wasn't there when he should have been. He also gave his word, in a manner of speaking, to be there. Is he not also an oathbreaker then? And if you say no, explain the difference to me.
As for the rest, I've got nothing to say. I wasn't there. I would only be going on hearsay. I don't believe that's right.
