Question for Reiver

Mr. De Gyrlington:

I have heard two opposing versions of the story, and seek the truth. Did you, or did you not, make a statement that the honor match between Baron Oakenshield and Warlord Dragonbane would not affect anything? In other words, if Huma lost, would he still be able to challenge the Overlord, and if Jeff lost, would he still remain a baron?
Thank you.

Jaem,

I believe Nycholas deemed the duel unofficial meaning that it would not effect records or standings. As to anything else, I have no idea.

At this point.. who gives a lick. To be my usual blunt self, I have the following to say.. The Council made its decision, whether an individual deems it fair or not is not the issue here, it is the backlash.

What is the issue is.. Helix has resigned as supervisor, I have resigned as a queuekeeper, Igor has resigned as a caller. Not to mention all the people insulted and hurt by angry words brought on by this. When does it stop? There is no getting Helix back and the next will have big shoes to fill and have to live in the shadow who gave much to this sport.

It's time to stop dwelling on it and get on with our lives and heal. We aren't going to change anything by going at each others throats.

Lord Triver,
As to the your question on the honor match, I do not recall speaking to anyone as to the outcome of the honor match.
As to it's status, the duel was recorded and posted to the records. I was in uniform thusly the match was official.

Reading Reiver's words aloud, "As to it's status, the duel was recorded and posted to the records. I was in
uniform thusly the match was official."

Penning to whomever is able to answer officially:

Officials of DoS,
I am curious regarding the matter of two duelist's engaging an official caller in a match that is outside the perview of regular dueling hours, and not approved or cleared with the standings keeper or Lady Helix, as to how it could be deemed official?

Can any DoS patron engage an offical caller at any time and duel a match to where it counts in the records?

I admit my ignorance to the complex rules of DoS and how they are interpreted, so I ask for clarification on my query.

Respectfully and in Grace,
Cygnet Seraphin

Cygnet

"Official callers" have been calling "Official Duels" without having to run to ask a Supervisor since the first caller called the first duel in this ancient hall.

Collie, you're right. This should end. The decision was made, that's that.

"All set.." The rogue's sharp eyes glance again over the Annex, its details taken to mind for work on some troll traps. Unfinished with the upstairs, she pauses, watching Jonalyn. Staying shadowed, a brow raises as she hears hiccups.

Carefully, she enters the Annex again, to think.
