Something to think about

To all who may read this...
Although I have been in the DoS but a few weeks, t'would appear I have, perhaps, decided to start my career in the midst of a struggle I know nothing about. But to satisfy my own sense of what is right or not, I felt compelled to sit and place my quill upon the parchment and see what would appear.
I know not what decisions others may have reached before entering the DoS, but I will say this. Whether thou joined for the sport, the camaraderie, the exercise or just to gain power, one thing remains the same. From the lowest ranking commoner to the Overlord himself, we are, one and all, in this together. If one finds oneself not liking the decisions made by a few, then that ones options are limitless. Whether it be leaving the DoS altogether, or
moving up the ladder of power, there are things that can be done to make one feel better. I, for one, may voice my opinion on a subject, but rest assured that if needs be, I will let the steel of my sword speak in my stead.
We are, each of us, as the flakes of snow that fall on a clear winters night. No two quite the same, but bound together by something that larger than each of us individually. For those who hope to make a change, I offer these simple words.

The shadow that my finger casts
divides the future from the past
Behind its unrelenting line
The vanished hour no longer thine
Before it lies the unknown hour
In darkness and beyond thine power
One hour alone is in thine hands
The now on which the hour stands

In essence, if one hopes to make changes, one should stop the bickering and arguing, and put ones efforts into more constructive endeavors.. like MAKING changes.
