I cut through evil
like a double edged sword,
And chaos flees at me approach.
Balance I single-handedly uparise,
Through battles fought with heart and mind
Instead of with me gaze.

What am I?

>With no wings, I fly.
>With no eyes, I see.
>With no arms, I climb.
>More frightening than any beast,
>Stronger than any foe.
>I am cunning, ruthless and tall,
>And in the end, I rule all.

This isn't another one of those "time" riddles is it?

A fish breathes, just not like humans.

Several answered, "A fish."

Agrenish answered, "A Vampire silly maggots."

For everyone's information, "fish" is correct. The riddle is from 'Gollum's Game' an excellent book of riddles co-authored by Smeagol Gollum and Bilbo Baggins.
Really doesn't surprise me that Agrenish was wrong.

> What would a dozen branches with thirty leaves on each be?

Try again Jeff... It's a metaphorical riddle.

> What goes through the door without pinching itself?
> What sits on the stove without burning itself?
> What sits on the table and is not ashamed?

All three of these questions describe the same thing... what is it?

> "Whilst I was engaged in sitting, I spide the dead carrying the living."
>What did I see?

Anyone have this answer yet?

> After these are answered, I'll have some more...

Actually, Jeff was right. It wasn't the answer you were looking for, but he was right.

Point is little man is that there are always more than one ansewer. So what if you read your ansewer from some damn book.

Alive without breath: Vampires do not require to breath

as cold as death.: Touch their skin, pretty cold

Never thirsty, always drinking: They drink blood though they do not actually thirst for blood, the hunger for the nourishment.

Clad in mail, never clinking: Everyone knows that a vampire can move as silent as silence. Stick a chain mail on one of them and if they desired to be silent they could be.

Am I still wrong bacause my ansewer didn't come for your book school boy?

Come on... assuming the color of the sky is blue, ask them what color the sky is. Which ever one gets it wrong is the liar. Then you've got your doorway to hellish torment.
