Morgan sat quietly in his little hovel. The stars were sparkling upon Silver Castle, now newly renamed Silver Court. His silver locks sparkled as he stared out the window. Dawn was soon approaching. He hadn't gotten much sleep though, the htoughts of what the younger Warlords had done while he was way. The ongoing rigormotis of the Warlord Statous Quo.
A knock sounded at his door. He glanced over:: "Come in.." ::The door opened, and a courier came in handing him a letter. The boy murmured.."Sir..a Letter from the Court of Baron Eques."
Morgan quickly reached over and grabbed the scroll. His eyes narrowed as he read, a soft growl coming too his features.."Politics..bah. Council of lazy arses.". He crumpled the letter in his hand, then turned kicking the chair away in his slight anger. He glanced out the window. From a generation lost he thought. Who was he now? Soon, once word was given from Golden he would be among thier ranks again..and this time, he would bring back what
was lost. If the Barons wouldn't..then he would. Morgan grabbed his horse gear and ran outside. He hopped on the horse and turned for the Arena. His mind set and words forming.
He arrived after a few hours at the rings. He pulled a parchment from his bag and moves down stairs too the bullentin boards. His eyes narrowed slighty as he hung it up..and it read as such..
To all those whom read,
For those who dont know me or remember me. I a Morgan Redheart, two time Ex-Warlord in the DoS. I am back, and this time i'm back for good. I shall rejoin the ranks of the Warlords under reinstatment if all goes well. I issue a new word of revolution. Since my return i've seen how degraded the Younger Warlords have made the ranks. I see the greed in thier eyes, the incomprehension of what the rank means. What it means to be a Warlord. It is
something of Honor, not something of simple power and want. Its about being the example for the younger duelers. /WE/ my fellow Warlords are the last line of defense. It is /us/ who set the traditions, it is us who set the examples for the younger duelers. They look to us and by our lead act as thier rank commits. They should look to us, and think of Honor, Skill, Respect and Fun. Now someone who would put thier Rank to foulish acts, or have it for
powr and greed. Those whom would abuse thier station.
Upon my Return I shall issue a revolution in our ranks. Already have I accosted and challenged one Warlord whom that to misuse his Rank, and bring dishonor too us all. I'll have no more of it. I refuse too stand by and let it go on any longer. I /WILL/ bring back teh traditions and old ways..no longer will the youth be lead wrong. That is all for now, take it as it is.

I have to side with Agrenish on this one.
Mr. Redheart, being a warlord simply means that one has won fifteen more duels than he has lost. It is possible, though difficult, for one to argue that a baron has a moral responsibility, but a warlord? If a warlord has to, why shouldn't a GM? Or a M@A? Or a Swordsie? Or a Commoner?
What sort of revolution do you have in mind? If you felt that certain barons acted improperly, you could organize a group of warlords like yourself to topple them. Ditto with the Overlord. What does your challenge to a warlord mean? Will he have to be shifted down to a grandmaster? Will he be compelled to retire from dueling for a period of time?
Will you alone bring back the old ways and traditions, and turn the youth back to the right path? I can assure you right now that it ain't gonna work. It's been tried before. Recently, someone started a house whose goal was bringing back honor to the arenas. Not much has changed since then.
Your intentions seem good, but the main idea of your post just sounds wrong.

Mr. Redheart, being a warlord simply means that one has won fifteen more duels than he has lost. It is possible, though difficult, for one to argue that a baron has a moral responsibility, but a warlord? If a warlord has to, why shouldn't a GM? Or a M@A? Or a Swordsie? Or a Commoner?

Yeah! I tell you, I often see more honor and humility at the same time from one commoner than three of your fine Warlords. Of course, if I named the three, my point would be lost...

He spent about 20 minutes, scrolling out his letters. Then he nodded and reached up tacking it in proper order..and so it reads thus..
Does my revolution have bounds? No..it does not. The pint is, that change must start with the leaders. If your a general, and things are lost. Ways are abanded..do you call on the privates too institue the change? No. You call upon those whom are too set the example. That is the point. You say a warlord is nothing more than a man with 15 wins over losses..well, then apprently you haven't felt it. The joy when a young deuler or new dueler comes too

Duels of Honor? There's already been enough dispute with just one of those. Moreover, I do not like such duels, because it makes the loser do something they would not normally do. Instead they are doing something because they HAVE to, not because they feel it's right. I, personally, don't find that honorable, though that is just my opinion.
Aside from Duels of Honor, I can only think of two other ways to remove the power seekers; manipulation of rules and threats. There may be more, but I opt to tell the person how I feel and act how I hope others would act.

I must agree with the others. As one of your examples, you said you saw a warlord fighting in some type of slave duel using the rank of warlord.. You say it is wrong and then challenge him to an honor match, in which I am sure you will use your rank as warlord. If you opposed that one match, why dont you also oppose the honor match?
