It is a true embarrassment to the Duel of Swords that one does use our game to kill another being.

If Dalamar asked you to jump off a cliff:
A true Loyal would jump off immediately.
A Neutral would consider his own safety.
A Renegade would ask Dalamar to do it first.

::laughs:: Oh my, the woman's losing her mind.
Nenshen~
You say that I have no knowledge of your kidnapping of Luthien's child. That is a baldfaced and laughable lie, since it was I, among others, who tried to return the boy to his mother. As to your comments about my parenting abilities, I will continue to say that I would like you to drop the pretense of having any care for my children.
You also say, "Or perhaps we might discuss thine collusion with those who didst rain destruction upon fair Questrion, or perhaps shall we discuss thine collusion and negotiations with he that wast the sworn enemy of mine darling husband and of the inhabitants of most of the enlightened of the Inner Realms". I find it quite laughable that you wish to discuss topics of conversation that you neither had any knowledge of or has any bearing on the matter
at hand. Perhaps you are trying to turn the attention from yourself and your lies. You're grasping at straws, woman.
This part of your comments were ponderous: "or mayhap shall we ponder thine vitriol directed at the former Overlord Duke Leto for employing the Test of Worthiness, for which thou now so staunchly defended M'lord Dalamar?" That matter again has no bearing on the discussion of the Ward, but I will humor your rumor-mongering. My disagreement with the use of the Test by the former Overlord, Leto of Covington, was that he used it more of an indiscriminate
way of getting rid of his enemies, rather than an actual belief that his challenger was unworthy of being an Overlord. While I have not always agreed with Dal's use of the Test, there have been times when I've seen ample reason to test the challenger at hand. Every situation is different, and I strongly disagree with those people who want it in black and white, those who want the Test to never be used, in any circumstance.
But, as I have said, this matter has no bearing on the discussion of the Ward, and I see it as a feeble attempt at turning the eyes away from you and over to me. It didn't work back when you had stolen Luthien's child, and it isn't going to work now.

I sincerely doubt, sir, that you would like to go to the Realm of Souls to find Anon, who requested the deathmatch to begin with.

Madame Elgarette
I have long since given up in any attempt to disabuse you of your notions. In fact I ceased the attempt that evening in Mana when thou didst announce thine self ast being insane. Charitably, I shall simply put it down to the onset of senility in thee, Madame.
Amusedly,
Jona.

I do remember talking about having control problems magically, and that I didn't feel myself worthy of holding the throne of Malenia (being very new to ruling and other personal conflicts), but I certainly made no statements to the effect of "I am insane".
Dear gods, and I thought I was deaf.

Well then...
I ask the Lady Starfare to tell me of the "practical joke" I was behind... for I cannot recall such an event.
If it involves the Ward's effectiveness upon myself, I can state plainly that the Ward is -not- effective upon my wounds, the healing is the touch of my Patroness... which, in fact, is interfered with by the Ward.
In another situation, whilst calling a series of duels for a team of young duelists, I was able to add my own powers to that of the Ward, as we were well away from the Arena, and I was unsure as to the efficiency of the Ward in such a remote location.
I am no stranger to death. I have killed, yes... I have slain those who were trying to kill me, and I see no shame in this.
Death is part of life.
Those of you who have never had to kill, I congratulate you... and I hope it is something you will never have to do.
Those of you who have -had- to kill, I feel you know of what I speak.

Peruses the missive, cocks a brow, pens a note.
Lady Drakewyn,
I must say, I am at a loss to understand what thee aire trying to convey. Wast it nae thee that didst boast of her "knowledge of the History" of these ancient halls? Tis first thee state that thee used thine "magicks" to tamper with the Wards of Gondar. Now thee state that thou art nae affected by the Wards, but that they indeed interfer with thine "Patroness'" abilities to render healing unto thee. Am I to infer that since thee aire nae affected,
indeed, that thee aire adversely affected by the healing, thou took it upon thine self to tamper with them? Thee then state that thee added thine "powers" to the Ward away from the arena, stating the were "unsure" of the efficiency of the wards at that remote location.
Am I to infer that thine knowledge of the "History" is then flawed? Tis the wards are named the "Wards of Gondar" for a reason, Lady Drakewyn. For one who dost make claim to such all encompassing "magical powers", one must wonder that thou couldst nae detect the "absence" of the Wards of Gondar away from the "official" rings of these ancient caverns.
Ast to the "practical joke", Lady Drakewyn, the constant showers of rosepetals, though they do creat a pleasant scent, do tend to wither, nae ta mention pile up 'pon the floor. Tis pleasant, e'en amusing, save that the pile grows apace, or had thee nae noticed.
Jona.

In answer to your charges and statements...
Firstly. I have, at no time, claimed a comprehensive knowledge of the History of the Duel of Swords. I have, upon occasion, said that I -respect- the History, and -respect- those who have come before.
Secondly. I have never claimed my powers to be so great as you seem to think I have. I am fully aware of the limits of my skills and powers.
Third. The incident in question, regarding the duels outside of the official rings, took place in the tree-house of Aislain Uziel and were sanctioned matches of the Team Dueling League. I am not certain, but I believe Laird MacKenzie made an arrangement with the Cleric to have these duels and places protected by the Ward. In the end, it is certain that the power of the Ward was there.
Fourth. Though the Ward of Gondor gives me no personal aid, I have -never- tampered with it whilst I was dueling another. To claim otherwise is an insult to me and to my personal honor.
Fifth, and finally. The constant showers of rosepetals are something that I have no command over. My Patroness grants me the ability to move myself from place to place without marking the distance between... the rosepetals are her own keymark. As for the "piles"... You must be hording them in places my air elementals cannot find them, as I am most careful to have them clean the Annex and the Arena at the least once a week.
I do hope these statements answer your questions.

I find it quite hypocritical that you Jona, do call someone out on honor and truth. Are you not a Queen or something to that effect? Shouldn't you know better then to slander someone as you ALWAYS do?
I wonder why I bother responding anymore for you just end up ignoring me. Ah well.
I wonder who now will you direct your next attack at. You've gotten Huma, and Jaycy and the gods know Colleen. I wonder who you have next on your verbal hit list.
