Results of the Overlord Challenge

Hear ye, Hear ye....

I, Stormi, did officiate the Overlord Challenge this 18th day in the 11th month, between Overlord Dalamar Ar'Daumon and Baron Seamus MacDonnaugh, bearer of the First. The Overlord chose Baron Sartan to stand as his second, and dueled for the honor of Lady Sidartha Elgarette. Sid was stunning, dressed in black velvet over silver~grey silk to represent the colours of the Oldest House. Standing behind the Baron as second
was his fellow countryman, Brian Grivin and his wife, Lady Helix Gilyan Deverrey Girvin. The Baron dueled under the Scots Pride Team dueling banner of burgandy, tan and forest green. The Baron dueled for the honor of Lady Ariana Dragoon, known to her friends as Prin. Prin was captivating dressed in a one of a kind strapless dark blue velvet gown which hugged at the curves, accentuating the colour of her eyes.
At 10:10 p.m., the honored guest, friends and fellow duelers of the Community had gathered to bear witness to a Best of Three match, fought under terms agreed upon by the Overlord and Baron. The duels were as follows:

Duel 1 of 3:
RD1 ~ Dal and Seamus start with matching low cuts. 0-0
RD2 ~ Dal Fancily ducks as Seamus steps aside. 0-0
RD3 ~ Matching low cuts ring out. 0-0
RD4 ~ Dal cuts high catching the stop hitting Seamus 1-0 Dal
RD5 ~ Dal sweeps low tripping the fancily stepping Seamus 2-0 Dal
RD6 ~ Dal thrust, Seamus rounds a fancy circular parry 2-1 Dal
RD7 ~ Dal cuts low, Seamus sweeps high 3-2 Dal
RD8 ~ Dal thrust over the low cutting Seamus 4-2 Dal
RD9 ~ Dal cuts low, Seamus offers a well timed fancy
circular parry 4-3 Dal
RD10 ~ Dal fancily ducks the high cut from Seamus 5-3 Dal
LordovDale def. Jakvaltrds, 5-3 in 10 rounds to take the first match.

Duel 2-3:
RD1 ~ Dal Fancily side steps Seamus lateral parry 1-0 Dal
RD2 ~ Dal Fancily disengages, Seamus high cuts to catch
his shoulder 1-1 Tie
RD3 ~ Dal cuts high, Seamus get caught fancily side stepping 2-1 Dal
RD4 ~ Dal fancily ducks under Seamus' high cut 3-1 Dal
RD5 ~ Dal Fancily side steps as Seamus fancily ducks
RD6 ~ Dal cuts high allowing Seamus to sneak in a thrust
from below 3-2 Dal
RD7 ~ Dal cuts low and Seamus stops it cold with a fancy
circular parry 3-3 Tie
RD8 ~ Dal cuts high, Seamus cuts high
RD9 ~ Dal cuts low as Seamus turns another fancy circular
parry to take the lead 4-3 Seamus
RD10 ~ Dal thrust and Seamus calmly and fancily steps aside 5-3 Seamus
Jakvaltrds def. LordovDale, 5-3 in 10 rounds to Tie the match at 1 all

Duel 3-3:
RD1 ~ Dal cuts high as Seamus thrust under for the point 1-0 Seamus
RD2 ~ Dal thrust under the high cutting Seamus 1-1 Tie
RD3 ~ Dal and Seamus both Fancy Circular parry
RD4 ~ Dal thrust, Seamus thrust...messy round! 2-2 Tie
RD5 ~ Dal cuts low, Seamus cuts high 3-3 Tie
RD6 ~ Dal cuts high, Seamus cuts low 4-4 Tie
RD7 ~ Dal does the famous Fancy Disengage to avoid the
thrust from Seamus 5-4 Dal
LordovDale Jakvaltrds, 5-4 in 7 rounds to retain the title of the
28th Overlord of DoS.

Lord Dalamar Ar'Daumon defeats Seamus MacDonnaugh by winning 2 duels out of a Best of Three Overlord Challenge.

T'was an evening o' rope gripping excitement a charas, one o' which thee and thine should be most proud...sairtainly one for the history books nae?
In any case, t'was an honor ta be in attendance although I stand at a loss as ta whether ta congradulate any winner o' this particular crown or offer them up my sincerest condolences. In my quandary, I shall simply say grandly played ta the both o' ye.

Well dueled, you two. I regret that previous engagements had kept me from being present to observe you two in action.

And no, it wasn't to wash my hair, either.

The next challenger for the title of Overlord is going to be the winner of the Warlords Tournement, should that person decide to take it. Until then, a challenge via Peer Wins is going to have to wait.

I only hope that the next challenger, whoever it is, is someone deserving of the title and not some punk kid who's just alot of talk. ((Fyi: Not refering to Seamus, who is a good friend.)
