One of Many....Interesting DoS facts and surveys!

::enters the Arena, the paper in hand, heads over to the ancient cork and smacks it up, high in a corner of the board where it will catch many an eye, then stands back to read over his work and admire::
Patrons of the Duel of Swords!
I would put some special effects in there but this is paper ya know. I just wanted to have a little fun on the boards besides mindless dribble and mudslinging, fun is what the boards were created for...I hope. (well that and storylines), Anyway, if you want to participate feel free to join in, that's what I created this for, and if you don't like it..just ignore it..I've seen enough personal insults on the boards to make my stomach churn a couple o
hundreds of times...so read on...and enjoy!
I was debating the question of who was the most influential and interesting person in the DoS now. Sure there were greats in the past...but since the present is supposed to be so bad, I was thinking if we had any interesting people now. I came up with three..for myself, everyone else put yours, that's what this is for. Here are mine:
There was no specific theme here, but mine all happen to be Baron's.
~G'nort Espelande G'neesmacher Dragoon Talanador, Baron of the 9th Ring. Who is more interesting than G? The original ladies man of the sport. Half of the men in the arena couldn't get away with half of the things G'nort does..(that makes one-fourth of something). Anyway, G has the talk...but does he walk the walk? Sure, not just because of a 100 WoL record though, alot could do that..if one tried. I mean he has skill that may be influential to most
in the arena..and yet for one of limited intelligence ::grins:: it's so prominent. Plus, I actually joined his House! He has to be good.~
~Seamus MacDonnaugh, Baron of the 1st Ring. Ever since I tried to snatch up the 1st ring and was cut across the knuckles by Seamus' Scottish blade I had utmost respect for him. Not to say that I didn't before, because my challenge was on the grounds of respect..but what's the saying.."Seeing is believing" ? Anyway Seamus is a good man, not only as a duelist..(I mean, you have to be good to beat me right? ::chuckles) but as a regular person too..he
doesn't fail each month to get out the copies of the 'Duely Noted' that himself and the talented duelists who work hard on the paper!~
~AJ Bird, Baron of the 2nd Ring. Ajay is one of the best duelers in the sport today. His defense of the 2nd shines as bright as his blade. Defense and skill, as I've pointed out with the other two; isn't what makes him most interesting, it's the person as a whole and Ajay holds true to that, calling periodically in the Arena of which we are all greatful for!~
So thanks for your time...now get your paper and pens and start sending in your thoughts on the question!

Ahem...
G'nort is hardly the first ladies man of the duels, nor even the best.
I present to you all... Phlag, Elijah, Stephen, and Phlag again.

Ladies man?
Got to agree with Lup here, Phlag has it cold hands down. No offense to G'nort, because he's a good friend to me, but quite frankly this is one of few things Jona and I might ever agree on. Phlag is the original ladies man. We don't call him Phlirt for no reason, people.

You're forgetting Phlag. I mean, don't you ever wonder why we call him Phlirt?
Being overly informative,

Here are a few of mine:
1. Noelle Medici-Giovanni, my beloved wife. She's a wonderful mother to our children, a wonderful wife, not to mention she's beautiful and intelligent. There are many reasons that have endeared me to her, and she will always be the most special person to me.
2. Eros, as he is a good dueler and a wonderful friend. I will not forget what he did over a year ago for Lady Noelle and I.
3. Magnus, for his skill in the rings and his honor.
4. Seamus MacDonnaugh, because he's an honorable man and a good friend. Besides... how can you not like a Scot, eh Seamus?
5. Cletus, much like his brother Magnus, who holds skill in the rings, is a good friend, and whose honor shines through.
6. Greg (swordsboy), for being a good friend, and honorable dueler
7. Andrew, an honorable dueler and a wonderful friend everyone deserves to have.
8. AJ, for being a good friend, and being the first baron to reach double digit defenses in his close to two year reign (only two months away, AJ!)
9. Jonalyn Nenshen Starfare, who always remains true with her morals.
10. Tom. He has a good sense of humor along with skill in the rings.

Okay... if only for G'nort's defence...
Come on people... Daelin's talking about -now-, not the past. I wish -someone- knew where Phlirt was, but he's been missing for a few months now.
As for Elijah and Stephen... well, Stephen's married and Elijah's only recently returned. Besides, what I remember of Elijah... he was a tweleve foot tall, black skinned Avatar of Destruction. At least he -was-.
I'm still working on my own list though...

Stephen, a ladies man? Harumph.
Suffice to say, we at the Plane of Fire specialize in breaking such abominable social habits.
