DoS is a political game folks, sorry if its such a wake up call ta hear it. If ya want just a sport, a game, go play DoF or DoM, no challenges over dere and it gets a bit stale after ya win a few titles.
What makes DoS so popular, so different, is it allows change, challenges, and politics. Skill can be compromised by havin' strong friends and less enemies. Overlord is a title of skill, but da best overlords are also wiley politicians when need be. I speak from my own experiences, I didn't start duelin' til after da conception of Barons, so perhaps in an older day of Overlords all ya needed was skill.
Folks, in a game revolvin' around such luck, anyone can beat anyone on any given day, ya last longer cuttin' down yer risks. Be it best of 3, or usin' champions, whatever ya can do ta avoid a one duel crap shoot, yer best off doin'.
I guess my message is, if ya don't wanna play in da politics, DONT. But quit whinin' like little babies when others do play in dat forum. If yer not in da political game, yer missin' out of about 50% of da upper rank's purpose. As fer people losin' faith in Dalamar, I doubt he loses any sleep over it. Dalamar has strong friends, and he's got plenty of skill, and its obviously a good formula fer success.

Politics is a dirty game. And politicians here seem to play by especially dirty rules. When most of the politically active people here engage in a disagreement, debate goes out the window and mindless insult begins. Please forgive those of us who consider ourselves above this. Please also think about the sport before you degrade it by indulging in what isn't even good politics.

It would be insulting. If I had said the equivalent of 'You're stupid. Read correctly.' But that wasn't what I said. What I said was the equivalent of, 'Stop trying to twist people's words in your mind to say what you want them to say to do the most damage. Try reading what they are really saying.' Perhaps you need to work at it as well. You seem to enjoy trying to make people's words mean what you want them to, and not what was said as
well. Though you seem to be better at restraining yourself from verbal abuse than others.

It would be insulting. If I had said the equivalent of 'You're stupid. Read correctly.' But that wasn't what I said. What I said was the equivalent of, 'Stop trying to twist people's words in your mind to say what you want them to say to do the most damage. Try reading what they are really saying.' Jeff, maybe this time you missed what I was trying to say. In regards to the part that you quoted (in which I have just now fixed my own typographcal error), I was not saying at all the DoS is not political nor it should cease to be that way. It was merely fueled by your post which decried Percy's suggestion that you responded to in which you thought he claimed Barons shouldn't have emotion. You replied, and I reply concuring with Percy, saying
that perhaps there is too much emotion in the sport, and later Percy expounded on that.
If it came across any differently, than I apologize for not being clear and precise. Still, I don't believe I mentioned politics in my post, and you reply talking only about politics. I'd like to know where exactly you got my apparent wish to lessen the impact of politics in the sport.
As regards to the other post in which I guess I didn't understand, I can't seem to find it again. Perhaps I'm just too lazy to look it up. Still, I'd like to know exactly which part of which post I am not understanding, and why it matters at all.

Jeff, maybe this time you missed what I was trying to say.
