To anyone who can help me,
Today, while I was bored out of my mind, I took a little strole down memory lane (if you will). Not my memories, but those of this Arena. I don't know if I was allowed to, but I snuck into the archives to look around at all of the old posts that were tacked to this board. What gets me, is that the farthest I could go back in time, was around when Dal first challenged Athlstan for the title. Not even two years ago. What I am wondering, is when
this ancient cork was first put up to record the feelings of the community, and, if there is anything that I couldn't get to, I was wondering if there was some way I could go further back in time and read more of the old posts.
I have read some interesting things, and if anyone could help clear this up for me I would be most grateful.
Curiously,
Cletus

~ having recently returned to RhyDin after learning of the demise of Ian MacKenzie, Kalamere approaches the boards from old habit. In the two weeks since his return, he'd found it difficult to keep his thoughts to himself, determined to stay from the debates for a time however, he had yet to touch his pen. Seeing the message from Cletus, he finally finds a
missive to which he foresees no argument. Taking up his pen he begins to write ~
Cletus,
This center of community gossip and information has existed for over 5 years. I cannot say exactly when it was began, though I know it existed long before I first arrived in RhyDin.
I am afraid, however, that only the last two years messages are available in the archives. There was some re-decoration around that time. The changes offered us a more cosmetically appealing message center that was somewhat bigger, but resulted in the loss of all the prior archives. I am sorry to say that the only way to find these old writings is find someone who had made personal copies.

(ooc note - AOL converted the message boards of the FFGF about a year and a half to two years ago. What we have now is the "new" newsgroup style board that basically holds an unlimited number of messages. The old style boards had a maximum allowance of posts and deleted old ones when new ones were posted. When the conversion took place, anything that was left on the board at the time got converted into the new style and won't be deleted unless the
staff decides to clean it up. Anything that had previously rolled off the board is gone though, unless you can find somebody that logged the stuff.)
