For the children now and those yet to come...

I wish to invite all the expectant mothers, the recent mothers, and any others who would wish to share in the feelings of these blessed events to a baby shower.
It is my intention to hold this shower in the Basement Annex of the Arena, on the 16th day of this month, a Tuesday, at Ten of the clock by the Eastern reckoning... Any who wish to come, bring their children or merely give their well-wishes are welcome.

Lady Drakewyn, mother-to-be of Delilah Alabaster.

Perhaps this might be posted in a place where more than several impregnated women might take note?

Congrat's ladies, may yer kids grow up ta' be people more understandin' and possessin' a tad more intelligence than a person who feels this notice doesn't belong.

Tuesday, 10 O' Clock by the Eastern Moon?

Oh bother...

Ah well, one cannot schedule his endeavors pefectly.

Expect my presence, Madames..... one could not pass up an opportunity such as this to mingle with newfound "friends".

By the way, I hope to see some of my new acquaintances there....Potion, Jola, Aja---to name a few.

Your friend,

Seraph.

::Sighs, scribbles a note, sticks it to the board with some pink you-know-what::

Ladies,

Sorry to miss it. I've got a prior engagement. Lemme know how many pink or blue sets of booties I have to buy. Booties are sooooo cute.

::Frowns, reading the post of the baby shower:: Well, as much as I would love to be there, ladies and gentlemen, I am not going to be able to make it...

For those that wish to know, it is because my precious wife Noelle has not returned from her vacation yet, and I am not going to attend such a pleasant affair without her company. I am sure half of you will understand, and the half of you will think I should just go and say ta heck with it. Well, her and I made a family, and this baby shower is, in a sense, celebrating the creation of a family. I really love the idea of the shower, don't get me wrong, but it is just a part of me that knows I can only
go there with Noelle...::Posts it and leaves, counting 10 days now since she has been gone::

:: Sara closed her eyes to the end of her mother's painful expression. Seemingly, the death was slow and agonizing. The pain was as much for those around who witnessed the death also. Sara's heart tore,....she needed to get away....away from her father....the memories....the torment... and the sight of her mother.

She ran out of the bedroom and the household filled with sorrow. Her steps carried her toward her wanton of healing. She headed toward a tower. She knew, Elminster, the greatest sage in all the realms would console her. His guidance would help her deal with the grief which was something she had never experienced, although she had dealt with death on many an occasion. But, she had not expected this kind of pain. She would go to the Great Sage, in search of the answer and healing. She knew people
in town would stop her and ask questions, so she decided to take the old worn path, through the woods.
At the end of the path, she saw the old man, whom she knew so well..for he had taught her magic for many years. In the clearing he sat upon his stone. He wore a large and brown hat which pointed at it's edge. Without a word she walked toward him and sat.
Many minutes passed and then he broke the silence. His voice was soothing as always. He told her that he knew of her mother's death and that he now knew of an herb that would cure the mysterious virus. He told her all that he knew of the herb and of other Elves on the main land that were being effected by the deadly virus. After many hours, he had told her all that he could about the herb, what it looked like and where he thought it might be found. Somewhere in the Spine of the World mountains.
The journey would be long and dangerous, but it was destiny that she be the one to retrive it.

He handed her a small black bag.....a Bag of Holding. She recognized it immediately as the one she had left behind when she left Toril. It contained her staff and a few daggers (mostly magical ones), spell components, her spell book, and a ring of Teleportation (a gift from the Sage, so that she might return home at will)..... She collected her things and started out on her journey....::
