Results of the Challenge for the Tenth
From: rdivanssa@aol.com (RDI Vanssa)

Hear ye Hear ye!
On the eve of the 5th of January, in the Annex under the watchful eyes of many, Var Medici-Giovanni successfully defended his right to wear the Tenth Baron's Ring against challenger Lupton est Dracoern .
Var proudly flew the colors of his family, Metallic silver blades clashing together over an ocean blue background. By his side stood Morgan Medici-Giovanni, and his lady of honor was his lovely wife, Noelle.
Lupton flew the resplendent colors of black and Silver and had as his second Verceterix Gavin Favre. His Lady of Honor, Rowan Hyperion Y'nestral stood proudly by his side.
The match was a piece of masterful craftsmanship on both sides, but twas clear that Var had the early lead and the luck of the night graced his blade. The Match ended in five rounds with a final score of 5 - 1 and Var declared the victor.
Rnd 1: Lupton brings the heavy gold hilted broadsword up in a sweeping highcut, but the opening bid for a point is parried away in spectacular fashion and with striking speed (FLP) by Var. Score 1-0 Var
Rnd 2: Lupton Sidesteps with grace and skill and studied speed (F), but Vars gold hilted Rapier has a long reach and still manages to slice his shoulder in the bid for the highcut! 2-0 Var
Rnd 3: Luptons Circular parry is a thing of beauty and grace(F), but the point goes to Vars advantageous Duck, the speed of it the mark of a master (F) 3 - 0 Var
Rnd 4: Var rolls to his feet in a smooth motion, coming up to face Lupton's lunging Thrust, and returns the same as each lose blood for a precious point. 4 - 1 Var
Rnd 5: Var feints with a highcut and with lightning quickness Lupton Ducks low and out of reach.(FDU) But alas, twas only a feint and Vars rapier swoops down in a wicked Slash to end the Challenge.
Final Score, Var defeated Lupton, 5 - 1 in 5 rounds.

Well,
This is an interesting announcement. This brings some interesting twists to the phrase 'poetic justice'. Lupton attempted to humiliate Var as much as possible with his challenge notice, and Var handed Lupton a defeat far more humiliating than anything Lupton said. Amazing how Var got so good so fast. Very interesting.
This raises another interesting question. Will Lupton decide to retire again? Or has he gotten the whining out of his system?

Percival,
If ye have a problem with me, please take it to the ring. I'm content to wait. Shallow insults are not appreciated. I'm not about to argue a battle of insults on the boards and prefer to attack people in the ring, and issues out of them. Haven't we heard this somewhere else?

...ifn' someone killed a man in cold blood...a viscious attack upon a woman bearing a child...and I had a problem with this man for doing this act, whether he beat me around a ring or not it would not justify the act...though in this case, it isn't that extreme, but you get my point....I'm not sayin' ye roight or wrong on the actual incident..oh wot'ever...'ave a g'd day.

Yeah Perci, Lup never does anything wrong, hell he never calls women names and tries to degrade them in public or anything.
disgusted,

::sighs::
It's a dead subject, gentlemen. Let it lie.
Very well won, Var. Lup, it seems like that night was not yours. Perhaps another night.

I wish to congratulate you, Percival, for adding yet anothing stinking piece of filth onto the already-comparable-to-a-stable-house cork board so many of us shovel through everyday.
I need noseplugs.

That was pretty low, Perci. I know you feel Lupt 'deserved' the insult, but if you ask me, Var is the only one right about now who can give it without it being seen as fighting words.
Of course, it doesn't matter now since you said it and Lupton has read it.
Not something a proclaimed leader of this community should be throwing his lot in with. I'm speaking of the low blow of course.
After all, Lupton has feelings, too. And if he hasn't paid for whatever crimes or insults you believe he owes to you or a friend of yours yet, then the local authorities should be informed.
Lupton, man, why not throw an insult or two. I was all expected to hear a clever return and end up getting a few more posts on this thread. What a let down.
Rol
PS - I believe the pregnet woman that supposedly was beaten by Lupton has proclaimed her child his godchild. Though I may be wrong, but how often is that the case? ::grins::
