As I know firsthand how confusing and contradicting the stories get surrounding something of this nature, I'll do my best to keep this clear.
Drakewyn Silvertree, I once considered you a friend and I would not be averse to doing so again. However, when your only comment on my status as a member of the Jade Gryphons dueling team is "Currently living with my ex-husband", I feel the friendship is far from mutual. What angers me most is that in the numerous occasions I have seen you when you knew of the relationship Perri and I have, you never once hinted at this enmity you so obviously
hold for me. I recall you informing me I was now "one of the family" the night you learned of my engagement. Members of the same family are not condemned for living with the person they love, are they? If in fact you think they do, let me be the first to point out that you do not have eternal say over who Perri chooses to see just because you happened to be married to him once, nor do you have any say over who I choose to date. My mother is dead,
Ms. Silvertree, and I do not recall ever asking you to fill her shoes.
With this letter I hereby announce my resignation from the Jade Gryphons dueling team. To kill two birds with one stone, I also announce my resignation from House Dragoon-Talanador. I never officially joined, and I do believe I merely made the roster due to my status as a Gryphon and my lack of objection. In the future, try to keep in mind that silence does not necessarily equal agreement. Eventually, everyone must hold their own opinions. I
understand that House Dragoon-Talanador has always tried to claim this is possible for their members, but I have seen this "standard of the House" thrown out the window on many occasions. This hypocrisy is one of the main reasons I don't feel Dragoon-Talanador suits me now, and one of the reasons I never felt it suited me. A House that was truly opinion-friendly would never place restrictions on a dueling team member speaking to a friend of hers.
This one did.

Ally.

I am sorry if you felt any level of emnity or hostility from me... Recent months have been difficult at best on most days.
I have never wished anything but the best for you, and if you felt my use of the term "ex-husband" was anything but my stating a fact, I am sorry for that as well.
The truth is, with the many of my letters to the team, you never responded back to me... I was uncertain what you were doing, as I haven't seen you in quite some time... just like I have not seen Karye in quite some time.
The Team Dueling League is far from first in my thoughts, so many of my letters to the supervisors of the League have been of a limited nature... but I never intended that you be harmed by my words.
It seems that this is entirely a situation of lack of communication, and I feel responsible for that, having removed myself from easy access.
In closing, I am uncertain as to which situation you are refering to about restrictions against speaking to a friend, and I would like it if you would let me know what happened in a private missive.
