Reason For Absence

Participants of the Duel of Swords,

Writing I am today to apologize for my absence in the defense of the seventh ring. A large snow storm blew my way on the fourteenth of this month. Had I did not the supplies, equipment or desire to trudge through five miles of snow. A carriage of course could not come swiftly through the fields to pick me up, nor know do I any magician of any sort for whom contact I could have made to go to the Arena to make such a defense.
Lord Dragonsblade decided not to allow the matter to the Barons Council, for which grateful I am. Apologize I do again for this mishap, but avoid it I could not.

((Authors Note: What really happened to me was, I live in Maryland and we had a rather large ice storm. On Thursday a bit after 9:00 PM, the power went out, and it stayed out. The electricity did not return until yesterday at about 3:10 PM. Unlike many people, I do not have any friends who live close by who have AoL, so that was also not an option. I am sorry I couldn't make it, and I hope I can avoid such a situation in the future.))
