On this night, before a small crowd of onlookers, I did officiate the challenge of Warlord Sintamyr for the Twelfth Ring, defended by Baron Walker.

Sir Sintamyr dueled in the purple robes of a mage, bearing his cursed Rusted Scimitar. He had no second, and he fought for the Honor of the Lady Halo.

Sir Walker dueled in the colors of red, white and black, bearing a common broadsword. His second was the new Overlord, Eros Hunrai Marzanhe DeBurgo, though he had no Lady of Honor.

Twelfth Ring... Round the first.
The challenger begins strong, yet with a level of risk...
His blade comes across the sands, low and striking hard...
Yet leaving him open for the Baron's equal strike to his shoulder.
Point for each. ( HC-LC )

Twelfth Ring... Round the Second.
The strikes seem to have thrown both duelists into caution...
The challenger drops back at the earliest sign of motion...
But it is only a parry round that he defends against.
No points. ( FCP-SH )

Twelfth Ring, Round the Third...
His caution having given naught, the challenger races forward, his blade showing the way...
But caution remains in the Baron's mind, and he dodges the blow with ease and aplomb.
Point for the Baron. ( TH-FSS )

Twelfth Ring, Round the Fourth...
Wary now, the challenger backs off... not wishing to be caught again...
The Baron circles around, and darts in low...
His motion a ruse, he tricks the challenger into defence, his duck and roll taking him past the stunned challenger.
Point to the Baron. ( FCP-FDk )

Twelfth Ring, Round the Fifth.
Once again, he defence fruitless, the challenger moves back to the attack...
The Baron, equally agressive, moves in as well...
Yet only sparks and rust fly as the equal attacks ring against each other.
No points. ( LC-LC )

Twelfth Ring, Round the Sixth...
Rebuffed, the challenger circles, seeking that elusive opening...
A motion from the Baron, a feint perhaps...
Not fooled twice, the challenger darts around, the Baron's feet planted to firmly to allow him to react.
Point to the challenger. ( FSS-FLP )

Twelfth Ring, Round the Seventh.
Emboldened, the challenger darts in, swinging his rusty blade swiftly...
And yet, the Baron's stance allows him multiple oppornuties... one of which he takes.
Ignoring the incoming strike, the Baron strikes one of his own.
Points to each. ( LC-HC )

Twelfth Ring, Round the Eighth.
Knowing the end is in sight, the challenger draws back, hoping to slow the Baron's momentum.
The Baron, however, refuses to be drawn in, moving to defend in case the motion is a feint...
And yet, neither attack, and neither score. ( SH-FLP )

Twelfth Ring, Round the Ninth.
The challenger looks to score again, yet he knows he cannot allow a trade...
The Baron seeks to put the match away, willing to take a blow to do it...
The Baron strikes out, as the challenger moves to parry...
But a last minute shift allows the Baron's blade to strike, above the lower parry by the challenger.
Point for the Baron. ( FCP-HC )

The Baron Walker successfully defends the twelfth ring by the score of five to three in nine rounds.

Ms Karen Jansen, Standing's Keeper.
