~~A challenge for the Sixth Ring~~

The following is posted as it was sent to the Venerable Baron and the appropriate parties:


To the Patrons of the Duel of Swords, Officials of the Duel of Swords, and Most Honorable Baron of the Sixth Ring........


I have decided to test my skills as they have developed thus far, in the form of challenging for a Baronial Ring, and after heavy deliberation, I have elected to issue
challenge for the Sixth Ring...currently held by Sartan, who I personally believe to
be the most unsung of the Barons currently holding title. and among the talented warriors I have ever witnessed wield a blade.


Therefore, for the reasons of wishing to truly test my abilities in the ring, and to see,should I be victorious, if I can uphold the 6th Ring to the same high standard of honor and good conduct as it's current holder, I formally issue challenge to the Baron Sartan for the 6th Ring. I shall duel wearing the colors of House Dragoon
Talanador, and under the standard of the Roman Empire. I shall duel, as always,
with my Gladius, Imperator. I shall duel for the Honor of my beautiful wife, Laylla Angelique, and for the Honor of the Empire. My Second will be named at a later date. All further details shall be worked out between myself and the Honorable Baron Sartan, as is tradition.

I wish you luck. You are a good guy and I hope you enjoy your first challenge, win or lose. Just do your best and have fun, and remember to be confident. Enjoying the experience should be your goal this time out. So relax and take it easy. Do your best.

Warlord Cassius Gaius Maximus,

It pleases me to see such a well written and Honorable Challenge. With the form of your Challenge, you Honor the House of Swords, yourself, and your Courageous opponent, The Noble Baron, Sartan. In addition, you Honor the Sixth Ring itself, which is truly worthy of Honor. This ring was first held by Torquillian Aspendale, and made legendary by the famous Baron, Adeena Maeax. Such greats were to also hold this ring, such as Percival, David
Strosnider, Nova Grey Shadow, The Warrior, and it's present Holder, the Noble, Baron Sartan.
In my mind, you Honor all of them with your Honorable form of Challenge. Duel well, Baron and Warlord.
