Assuming you're refering to me, Methous, Which two words do you have? If that's what you meant.

A little lesson in what doesn't make a person worthy to challenge.

10 Peer Wins are easily come across when you have almost 100 Warlords holding the rank, and 5 nights to duel in. At the time of the last Warlords Rankings, you had 9 Peer wins, and 8 peer losses. What that means is you win as much as you lose. Does that make you worthy to challenge?

Also, Just because you can do a thing, does not mean you must do that thing. You are challenging simply because you have the wins to do so. You do not seem to care about who it is you challenge, let alone the respect of the Duel of Swords.

You are ignorant, rude, obnoxious, and far too young a Warlord to be challenging for a Barony, In -My- opinion.

You beat 10 Warlords. Whoop de do. I will be suggesting rule changes to be made to make it more difficult for one to challenge, since it has become far too easy for any wretch to issue legal challenge simply because the rules state they can.

When you lose, Methous, rest assured I will be pleased.

Learn how to respect others, how to issue a decent challenge, and maybe not act so stupid around everyone, then perhaps you will truly be worthy one day.

Right now, you are Not.

Thank you.

Lupton -

Let's make it a group project and plan a pic nic afterwards. It would make a splendid day.

Tim...you are unworthy because you are a rash individual, with not one polite cell in your body...you are dishonorable in my opinion, you are rude, and sometimes beyond that, to me and my friends..your writing is not logical, you can not spell, and just because someone can wield a blade does not make him worthy to hold a title...and I certainly don't one as such as you in position to gain the mantle of overlord, heaven
forbid. Two words, Aye. Go Rix.

Are there any further questions as to the general purpose of the Amethyst Ring?

I suspect not.

>>Are there any further questions as to the general purpose of the Amethyst Ring?<<

I doubt that the Amethyst Ring will need to devote much attention to this matter, even should Tim win. I have the feeling that every Warlord with 10 peer wins will be lining up around the outside of the inn, through the common room, and down the stairs to the Arena to take the ring.

::Like Rix, she is unable to locate the original challenge notice, but gets the general idea reading the responses::

Warlord Methous, upon giving you the benefit of the doubt, I can only assume you have considered your actions before issuing your challenge to the Baron of the Fifth. It is your prerogative to use your peer wins to do such. I only wish I had the opportunity to peruse your reasons. I wish you well in your endeavors.

Baron Favre,
May your blade ring true and your title defended with the honor and integrity befitting a Baron of DoS.
Plus, I can use another 1500 gold pieces.... I bet 500 on the Baron! ::Can only hope the odds are as good as the last time Rix dueled! ;) ::

If we want to behead him, I've got my ax. Then I can chop fire wood for a bar-b-que along with the pic nic.

Wow! A mass murder...Yes! We haven't had one of these in awhile. Simply, Tim or Meth whichever one you prefer, I assume..not having seen your original post, but hearing from the others that your challenge was dishonorable and beyond that hardly recognizable in any dialect or language on the face of this planet...maybe this star system. That's why people are beating you over the head with words..as most know I usually
stay out of matters on the boards, but let me say this..Anyone who has 10 PWs shouldn't be allowed to challenge, I say we up the ante' to about 20 or 30 PWs..and a certain WoL ratio and a certain rank in the WL ranks..someone told me this and I thought it was a good idea. 10 PWs is quite easy to gain..matter of fact I gained 7 in one weekend, so that doesn't proove your "Worthiness" Personally, I hope Rix knocks out your teeth, picks them up, and
hands them back to you.

Simply, Baron Verceterix, I do not know you all that well..but I hope you retain the fifth and do not let a twit such as this come near it.

We should up it to 15 Peers, 5 GMs, 5 M@As, 5 Swordsmen, and 5 Commoners, and the fights with the lower rankings should be fanciless.

I thank you all for you words of old wisdom and until today it has bothered me but not anymore. I can be the bigger man. I herebye appoligize for any I have offended, and any I have just made want to fight. The challenge will go through desite your ideas to make me wait longer, I will duel the same as I did when I beat most of you, and all insults from now till this is over are gonna not afect me at
all. I met my target and liked him, he seemed nice a good baron, it is not he I have a harmful means toward. I simply want the ring or to try as many of you have and some have held them worth or not I will challenge and I will not alow your attacks to bother me anylonger.

Although I am but, and seemingly will forever be, a commoner, I would say that of all the proposed methods of gaining the right to challenge for a ring, Cletus has hit on the one that I find the most equatable. The only problems I could foresee in that, is that it is very difficult, given our current system, to verify whether the matches with the lower ranks were conducted with the proper amount of fancy
manuevers. The point is, no matter how stringent we make the requirements, as long as they are purely based on who you beat and how many times you beat them, there will alway's be those that will succeed, even if they are considered too immature to put forth challenge for the position of honor and traditional leadership that a Baron's ring entails. The sad truth is that maturity and skill in the rings are not alway's directly proportional. As a
result, unless we come up with some qualifying "Maturity Test," we shall never fully rid ourselves of this problem. At least, that's my take on the situation. Most likely, I will have offended someone during the course of this missive. To them, I say: Tough.
