Challenger. You are a stain. A blot of dirt that has gotten past the eye of the weary washmaid. And I shall tell you now, Vercetrix Gavin Favre has more talent and worth in his fingernails than you will ever have.
You are not worthy of title in these halls. And do not let your own self importance let you think so sir. There are those that come here and gain more worth in a day than you have in nearly a year. And the gods as my witness I will never see you hold title in this sport. And many in this sport feel the same.
You will require many many many years of instruction before someone other than yourself and mayhaps some hopeless syncophant looks upon you and sees you as material for a barony. I suggest withdrawal of your ill opportuned challenge forwith boy. As if you win it...you will be hounded out of it immediately. And if you lose the challenge, you will be hounded out of the realm for your arrogant incompetance.
If by some strange twist of fate you happen to defeat Rix for his title, cretin, and stain the histories of these honored halls with your misbegotten and often ill pronounced name. I shall come for you, and I shall be bringing hell with me.

Simply,
~Adonai Uziel

What makes this person any different from the rest of the rude, illiterate, criminally-motivated members of the population? Is there some amount of time a person has to be here before s/he is "allowed" to be an ass?

"Sorry Methous, you don't have enough tenure to act like an ass, that's reserved for the likes of... (insert resident asses here)."

"Oops, Methous, get back in line because this month it's (insert resident jerk's name here) turn to get all the attention. Quit taking away from his limelight."

Please, people. If we really did not care for the likes of Methous and his attitude, do you not think we would try harder to remove his role models from the public scene?

Unfortunately, Morgan,

Like the cockroach, they keep coming back. Sometimes they retire, but still they come back.

Methous...

Do I believe you are worthy of a Barony? No.

Do I applaud your courage for going through with this challenge, even though you know full
well that you will be hounded, and that every Warlord that can win, buy, or loan 10 peer wins
is gonna lay challenge to you? Yes.

Warlord Methous,

I, myself, have been the recipient of your insults in the past. Although I may have chosen different words, I note that you have apologized to all that you may have offended. I, personally, accept your apology. I am certain all of Swords has noted it. How you conduct yourself henceforth will have a great impact on their regard for you. If you continue to display the Honor you have shown in apologizing, and carry this forth within the dueling
arenas, then all shall know that your apology is sincere. It is rare to find one that does not make mistakes. It is rarer still for one to recognize it. Even rarer for that one to apologize. After one offers an apology, one must seek to make reparation. This shows the Sincerity of their intentions.

This Challenge, in addition to a related discussion, "Getting off the Fence", offered by Lord Uziel, has prompted me to draft a letter to the Warlords of Swords. Any rank may obtain this letter by sending me a short note. I hope that it shall engeandor a spirit of educational mentoring, offering to the future Warlords, Barons and Overlords of Swords an appreciation of The History and Tradition of Swords.

Dearest Adonai,

Wow, this has gotten to be a regular bloodbath. I would say this: I've met this guy, Tim, and yeah, he was insulting and rude as hell. I've met Rix too, and on the contrast, he seems like a good guy. But there wasnt even this much stink when Agrenish was stirring things up. And also remember, even though given duelers are usually better than others (for instance I'm something like 1-13 'gainst G'nort {the bastard})
anyone can beat anyone on any given day. I've been shut out by commoners, and I shut out barons when I was a commoner. It happens. I dont think the challenger will win, but ya know, things happen. Also, he (the challenger) doesnt seem to be that big of a menace now does he? Grant it he's annoying as hell sometimes (who isnt) but I still dont think that all of these insults are necessary. I mean jeesh, if he did care about what you guys thought
of him, by the way you've been talking to him, he wouldve killed himself (hold you tongue!). Anyway, maybe...just MAYBE...he'll mature a little bit?

Still on a fence,
And rarely taking sides,
Humbly,

Once Rix beats him down, this will all be over. I just want to see the ring in good hands.
