For Those That Will Hear.....Hear

Patrons,
I am, for lack of a better word...becoming rather ill.
Shall we consistently argue and wheedle and insult and attempt to destroy each other like children unhappy with the lot of the world?
The posts I have seen over these last few weeks have been just short of disgusting. The endless negative opinions...the continual attacks. The defilement of everything that this place is and ever was in my eyes.
We say we argue for honor, and those we attack are law breakers, liars and dishonorable our eyes. When our own conduct has been little if anything but the same. We wrangle and wrestle and slowly but surely break down a community that we had...all for overweening pride and the pompous self importance of believing that what we believe is right and all others are wrong.
The Amethyst Ring claims to protect the honor of the titles of this community but surely breaks it apart from within and further widens the gaps between camps of people that were already polarized to each other. Indivduals rise up and decry those that would do as they see right, for little other than the hearing of the sound of their own voice it would seem. Honored duelers lash out at each other with word and insult best left to tavern
denizens and thieves. Respected title holders humilate their challengers, worthy or not, on a whim....while further pulling apart that which is the center of this place...the community.
Here and now, I judge none of us worthy of the spirit of this place. We have defiled the memory and history of this hall with our ludicrously petty intercine wars and personal aggrandizement of our egos and own senses of self worth.....and thusly...we are lower than any we have ever judged as low.
Nobility is not in fluence of tongue, nor in might of arm, nor in holding to the perception of honor that might be currently popular. Nobility is in knowing that what you do is good....and right for the community you represent....and truely we have all failed that nobility in these last few weeks. There is a line that the noble never cross and its that things can be said....but should they. Do your actions represent the best interests
of this community? Will your hot words help to heal it, our further the dessicating wound? Will your action, the challenge, the duel...the political manuevering, serve the community? Or will it only serve your own ideals? Nobility is responsiblity to the community, not to yourself...or to any liege or friend. Warlords and Barons all....we hold this responsibility. Do we honor it with the insults and negativity? I think not.
I have tempered myself, I ask that others do so. I offer friendship and respect to those that would revile me, publically and privately. I ask that all others that consider themselves noble, and worthy heirs of this communities long history do the same. Nothing is gained in despite, nothing is gained in hatred and disgust. Respect and tolerance is the only way to show ourselves as noble, and worthy of this hallowed hall. And I ask that
all that see themselves as so to practice it.

Speak for yourself, Dragon Lord, and save from insulting the few good people who still read these boards.

How... ironic... a negative flaming note about all the negative flaming going on in the community.
How positively surprising coming from you, Uziel.
For the dull of wit, that was sarcasm.

Falablah, a fine example of sarcasm, bravo.
For the dull of wit, the above sentence holds no trace of sarcasm. <----though this one might.

I'm actually more amused by the flaming of the inflammatory tone in a note about how negative flaming is..so much so I should probably flame it, but then it would merely invite someone to flame me creating a vicious, if amusing cycle.
Shall we?

I have seen this, "We are all so bad in our posts as of late" attitude four or five times the past two weeks.
It's obvious it doesn't work.
Here's an idea. For those who truly are tired of bickering and whining on the boards, why not try to post something that's not bickering and whining?
For example, Eros has been posting congratulations towards those who have accomplished some endeavor.
This is a humble suggestion to those who want to try a different approach when one is obviously not working. However, I am not complaining about the posts, just suggesting an idea. In all honesty, I will say why I welcome these posts.
1) Shows who people really are or who they want to conceal themselves as
2) Despite the fact some words are insulting towards others, there are facts or interpretations presented
3) Helps me ponder of events as of late and what might happen in the future
Yes, I do get disappointed when I hear of certain events, but that's the basics of hearing news. You find out things you like, and find out things you don't like.

Deaf ears.
In case some have not noticed....I have changed. And if this was seen as a flame...and not a call for reason, then I'm not quite sure what to say.
I no longer lash out, but try to show what I see. I saw, I said. Nothing more, nothing less.
~Respectfully
