The former Overgnome, Gnimish, just about falls over in a fit of laughter.

"I think Marzipan should realign Jonalyn next", his chuckle loud and unmistakable.

The angel smiled and spoke softly, "I see BR is back."

Lords and Ladies.

To save the Supervisor much grief on this matter, and acting according the the rules as written, I propose the following.
As far as I have been able to determine, no Warlord is re-instated until a letter is sent to the Standing's Keeper and the change is noted in the Standings.
In addition, every other instance indicates that a letter to the Standing's Keeper is required before a matter is official... to wit, "4. Loyal Barons may change their alignment at anytime, in writing, to all Barons, the Overlord and the Standings Keeper."
As Baron Uziel did not send me a letter indicating his change of alignment, and as the Overlord did send me a letter indicating his re-aligning of the Baron, it appears that the matter of the alignment of the Seventh Ring should be closed... the Baron has the right to immediate challenge.
On the question of the word "immediate." I agree that Baron Uziel's challenge holds precedent over the challenge right gained by the winner of the Warlord's Tournament. The simple reasoning of this is that the challenge of the winner does not exist until a winner is declared. And, as Baron Jeff has pointed out, it is no longer prior to the Tournament.
Should Lord Evermeadow wish to overturn my decision on this matter, I will willingly bow to his expertese in these matters.
The only reason I am getting involved at all is that the Rules of Engagement mention the Standing's Keeper multiple times, and I felt I was required to answer.

Lords and Ladies.

After further research, I have found that my proposal may not be fully legal in regards to the rules governing the Tournament.
As such, until the Supervisor makes an official ruling on this matter, Baron Uziel's challenge must be placed on hold.
Further updates shall be made as they come.

Ms Karen Jansen, Standing's Keeper.

Glances to Gnim and Cyggy, her team-mates and shakes her head. "Yeah, yeah... it's all funny 'til someone gets an eye poked out."
"We've got too much bluster and not enough strait talk around here... People need to do less insulting and more conversing."
Glancing down at Gnim, she gives him a mock-glare. "And don't you 'foo' me..."

From the published rules for your edification

* There will be a grace period of 24 days prior to each Warlord's tournament, during which no challenge may be issued to the Overlord.
* A Warlord's tournament will be held once every 3 months towards the end of the cycle. Date, time and particulars will be mailed to qualifying Warlords by the Standings Keeper, the DoS Supervisor, or his/her representative.
* The winner has the right to challenge the Overlord directly, superseding any outstanding challenge. This challenge must be made within one week of the Tournament outcome. This challenge is not subject to the "Right of Challenge" and can not be denied for any reason and will follow the "Universal terms of Challenge" with regard to response and dueling date.

Gentles,

Prithee ponder if thee will.

There hast been only one Warlord Tourney wherein a Baron's ring hast nae been offered. The winner of that Tourney wast Billy Ray Karnafexx. Billy eschewed offering challenge unto the Overlord, Dalamar ArD'aumon. The Overlord didst offer unto the second place finisher, a normal challenge, that being he wouldst face a testing. The second place finisher in that Tourney wast Eros Hunrai Marzanhe DeBurgo.

A bit of history for thee, gentles all.

In the tourney what established the Original Nine Barons, the tenth place wast awarded unto Xenograg kathu-Darelir. He didst offer challenge unto the then Overlord, Mad Mad Max. He didst face intercession, for the blade of Siera Red didst stand twixt him and the Mad Overlord.

In the following Tourney, the winner wast the Lord of Question, Valmion, who didst choose to take the challenge unto the Overlord, Siera of Redwin. Percival the Chaste wast the second place finisher, taking the Sixth Baron's Ring. Valmion didst face Siera, free of intercession.

In the third tourney, t'was three rings offered. The Seventh went to Dirk Random, the Ninth to Phantom DoS, the Eight to Ian MacKenzie. The warlord, Devon Goral, who didst finish fourth and wast awarded the challenge unto the then Overlord Feadur Feamegil. Feadur hae declared, upon gaining the crown, all the then seated Barons to be Renegade. Devon Goral's challenge didst supercede all, his right to challenge being superior unto those of the
realigned Barons, and he didst meet and wast defeated by Feadur.

If memory serves, Valmion wast the only First Place finisher to choose the challenge unto the Overlord. All other challenges presented to the Overlord ast a direct result of a warlord's tourney since the inception of the Baron's hae been presented by the runner up and nae the first place finisher.

I shall also note that the section of the rules of engagement with respect to the "winner" of the Tourney hae nae been altered one jot. Tis, methinks, should the Overlord so choose, he may Test anna what aire nae the First Place finisher, meet him in a single duel or offer the Best of Three.

Ast well, the precedent hast already been set establishing that a challenge presented ast a result of the Tourney of Warlord's supercedes anna pending challenges. Further, tis clear that the establishment of the twenty four day grace with respect to the Tourney precludes ANY challenge being presented to the Overlord.

Gentles,

I am reminded that the Overborg, a First Place finisher didst meet the Overlord, intercession free.

I believe Skyler was the first place winner when he chose to face Dalamar as well. But I could be wrong.

Jona,

For the record, Valmion is the Lord of Questrion.

We want to make sure that those in the Arena know the proper places one is Lord of.

G'nort, are you saying that Valmion's lordship is not, indeed, in question?

Chuckling softly, pens a note, tacks it to the cork.

G,

Indeed, Valmion, Lord of Questrion. Though Val isna likely ta take umbrage an nae be in need 'o succor. I do trust that be yuir point, G. Though I do notice Karen Jansen seemingly be attempting to usurp Master Evermeadow's duties. Perhaps thee o'erlooked that.
