Sword Brothers and Sisters,

First, thank you, Baron Waker for your Loyalty. I am however, not without fault in this situation. After a long day of quiet contemplation, my indignancy has subsided.

I apologize to Baron Uziel. I realize now that banishment to Renegade did not properly fit the situation. I felt helpless to intervene as my wife was continually insulted by a certain dueler. The most obvious target at the time was Lord Uziel, who was laughing. I was angered that he did not feel that his actions were inappropriate. In retrospect, the proper course of action would have been to take him aside privately and speak with him. I have
spoken with my wife, and she was not even aware of Uziel's laughter.

I cannot adequately make reparation for my part in this matter. The best I can offer to Lord Uziel is an intercession free shot out of respect to him. This duel shall take place this Friday at 9 PM in the Annex.

I apologize to Lord Mackenzie in this matter. I Indeed, taunted him last eve in respect to his Honor. I had also felt a sense of indignancy toward him. At the time the banishment took place, I had expected him to be the first to support my decision. At the time, I felt my actions were flawlessly done in defense of "Honor." I had heard that Ian would defend Honor at all costs. That is why when he approached me and suggested that I overreacted, I
was shocked and further infuriated. At the time, and up until recently, I felt he was being hypocritical in regard to his stance on Honor. I felt that the situation was a "Black and White" case of Honor.

I admire Ian greatly, and do now remember him from long, long ago in The Outback. This was before I came to Swords. He was always a good man. In this matter, it was Ian's comments, as well as Morgan's personal comments to me that made me realize that I was not without "sin" in this.

We know what Ian said, because it is tacked on the boards. Morgan pointed out a story I had heard before of a Kingdom..where a King called Arthur ruled. She caught my attention, as I had always looked to this great King as an example of what a leader should be, and believe in what he stood for. Although I am certainly not a King, I do hold a responsibility to the duelers of Swords to use the Powers that I have been granted wisely. Morgan reminded
me of How Arthur was faced with a situation of Honor that involved his wife. Arthur chose to step back from the situation and allow cooler heads to prevail. He did this for the good of the Kingdom, not just his own Honor and that of his wife. This is what I should have done, and now realize that I was clearly not without fault in this. My apology and offer to the Baron of an Intercession free Challenge, I hope, will be accepted with the
contrition in which it was offered.

I apologize as well to all of Swords. My actions in this were not consistent with the reasonable expectations that all should have for their Overlord.

I have not heard from the Warlord Eric on whether or not he wishes to fight his Challenge immediately after Lord Uziel's on Friday. (If I win.) I attempt these two intercession free matches perhaps as an attempt at personal vindication.

May the Gods Bless the Patrons of these Halls of Honor.
~~~~~~~Blessings of Twilight~~~~~~~
Lord Eros Hunrai Marzanhe DeBurgo, Twenty-Ninth Overlord:
Understand that my word has been given, and I cannot honorably retract such. My blade remains available to those Renegade Barons who have need of it, and I will still do Baron Uziel the honor of standing for him on the morrow.
However, your public apology and acceptance of your anger is noted, appreciated, and accepted. In that vein, please accept that my honor-bound stance no longer holds any personal enmity, and also accept my apology for having perhaps been less than tactful in the way I offered you counsel.
Cordially,
Ian Rex.
What a load of grandios malarkey....er whatever ya' call it. The damn DoS has gone softer than an overripe melon and is ruled by people who are more concerned by what other people think of them than how they feel about themselves.
Freakin' pitiful.
