To the Duel of Swords Community,
On this, the thirtieth night of the ninth month at half past the ninth hour by the Eastern clock, I did have the honor of officiating the duel between Renegade Baron Daegarth Mithmellon and Warlord Sir Damien Cetran of Longsly on the field of honor for the right to bear the Eighth Baronial Ring of the Duel of Swords.
With great skill and courtesy, the challenger and defender did take the field wielding battle axe and long blade respectively. Showing no fear of pain, the Baron and Warlord did deliver two successive rounds of powerful blows before in the third exchange the Baron did dance away from the thrusting axe. Spinning from the advantageous position, the Baron then cut the footing away from the Warlord, who's haft was too high and level to block the blade
from finding purchase at his legs. With a two point spread, both duelists backed away, shifting into the careful consideration of the mid-game--the Baron fancy disengaging as the Warlord fancy sidestepped. Recouped from their earlier blows, they once more approached each other, but just as Sir Cetran seemed to have the advantage the Baron delivered a convincing feint which sent the Warlord backstepping only to be clipped by the high-flashing
Phoenix Blade. The moves were as follows:
Daegarth/Damien
1) th/th 1/1
2) hc/lc 2/2
3) fss/th 3/2
4) lc/flp 4/2
5) fdis/fss 4/2
6) hc/fdis 5/2
~~~~~Final: Deagarth x def. Sir Cetran, 5-2 in 6 rounds
A grand and glorious duel!
Your Greatful Observer,
Ulysses Graham 'd Nitesong Sidhe
