Father of Time fell into the Arena from the time rift, the bells of eternity fading away as the rift sealed shut. He looked around for a moment, his wrinkled folded over each other, bewildered with where he had landed. He looked a few faces he remembered from his last experance with the Arena's patrons.
"Damnit, no! Not here! Not again!" he screamed mentally. He opened the time rift again. The rumbling surronded him as he stepped into it. "Oh no." he thought. Something was missing. The rumbling ached to be closed as he left one foot out and forced it to remain open. He looked about the rift, in a meager attempt to figure out what was wrong with the rift. The colors were as they always were. The swirling had not hastened or grown laggard in
acceleration. The rumbling was at its constant tone. But what was it that was missing? He winced as he was slapped with the reality of what had happened.
The bells of eternity had stopped ringing.
He stepped from the rift and squatted to his knees. "Why this place? Why did I have to be stuck here of all places in time? Why not Florida? Or Ireland or I'd rather be in the Soviet Revolution then this place again." He said. Father of Time looked at the time rift. With a prolonged sigh, he closed the rift up.
"Great. Just great. Spring is starting up tomorrow and I'm stuck in the Balderdash Ages with a time rift broken down." He said to himself. He looked around and remembered when he was last stuck here, during the tournament of time, as the human-types called it.
"Hey old man, you up for a duel?" one of the human-types asked. Might as well duel this organic fluid being… he was in the mood to hurt someone and he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.
