On this night a familiar did come to me with message that the Challenge of the 10th ring of the Baron/ess was in need of an official. Indeed it was with great honor that I called said challenge.
In the Annex this night, Warlord Quick Var MG was present as challenger. The Baroness Drakewyn I was present standing as the challenged. I did at this time ask the challenger to state for the record his reasoning for the challenge, and I quote to you his response......
"To begin with... I wish to wear the ring I have worn twice before, because I enjoyed wearing it. I feel Drake challenged after I explained in a letter as to why I left the house. I also appreciate the notion of being the second in DoS history to wear the same ring three times, if I happen to win."
I than turned and asked the Baroness if indeed she accepts such reason and challenge. In return she replied, ......
"M'Lord, I have heard his reason and find no personal fault with the challenge as
given."
I than noted that indeed I did not see the presence of the Overlord and asked... "I assume that since the Overlord is nae present, this shall be an intercession free challenge?"
The Baroness replied,....."I am given to understand that is so, yes."
At this time I called the challenger and the Baroness into the ring and made the following announcements;
For the record of the challenge for the 10th Baron/ess's ring...I give to you the challenger Warlord Quick Var MG. He duels tonight under the banner of Metallic Sliver with blades clashing over the ocean blue. His lady of Honor is that of his lovely wife the lady Noelle Medici-Giovanni. His Second is that of his eldest son the Noble Morgan Medici-Giovanni. His weapon of choice is that of the rapier known as "Fallen Crew"............
...... as for the challenged, I give to you the Baroness Drakewyn I. She duels under the banner of Midnight Blue and Emerald Green. Her ladies of honor is that of her lovely daughters, the Lady Delilah and the Lady Adelie. Her second was that of G'nort Dragoon Talanador. Her weapon of choice was the Emerald bladed sword.
Both duelists offered honorable words as the duel commenced. The challenger took off with a commanding lead scoring four straight points in the first four rounds, giving only one to the Baroness. Indeed though, the Baroness proved her abilities and battled back scoring 3 unanswered points. In the final round it was the Warlord scoring with a defensive maneuver for the victory!.
The duel went as followed:
Drakewyn I CP HC LC SL LC FSS TH HC
Quick Var MG FDK TH HC LC FDK SL LC FDK
At the end of the duel, the Honorable Baroness did past the 10th ring to the New Baron Quick Var MG who than became the holder of the 10th for the third time.
Quick Var MG than announced his alignment to the Overlord as Loyal.
An honorable duel with honorable duelists indeed. The unfortunate thing was that one had to lose on this night.

Var,
Congrats on a fine win. Would've been nice to see a Fancy Dis in there but nevertheless, well done. Wish I could've been there to watch ye get that ring back.
