Challenge to the Overlord

Post by DoS Archive » Wed Sep 29, 2004 11:04 am

As has already been sent to the proper parties, I now inform the community,

I, Verceterix Gavin Favre, Renegade Baron of the Fifth Ring, do hereby challenge Overlord Eros Hunrai Marzanhe DeBurgo for his crown.

The main reason I challenge is quite simple, so make of it what you will. I simply feel it is time I stop being a follower and become a leader.

-Verceterix Gavin Favre
Baron of the Fifth

::points, laughs.. tries to stifle laughter, yet laughs more... takes a few deeps breath and finally steadies enough to put pen to paper::

This Methous guy is hysterical.

::walks away, breaking out in laughter again:: Let him intercede.. god that's rich. ::shakes his head::

M'Lord, It would seem that thee first true challenge has been set before thee. Would it not be wise to choose someone that may intercede on your behalf?

Methous,

You retired, you are unable to offer any service to the overlord.

Err..sahs, intercession, or testing as it is called, is not a veil of protection, but instead, a test set forth by the Overlord, under his good judgment, to determine the challenger's worthiness..o'course, the oe'rlaird must first decide whether or not he wishes to question the challenger's worthiness in the first place...begging for the position of champion if such is granted, is not the way to gain the honour, but
instead, under the Overlord's decision...though, that's just how I interpret it..

Coron, My choice of words was not correct. You have correctly said what I attempted to say. Thank you for the correction.

::glances at the comments, reads over the post, shrugs. Tacks up a note::

Best of luck, overlord.

Even better, baron. Crush him like the bug he is.

::smiles saying to himself: I love this place already. He glances around, chuckling under his breath as he thinks maybe Jonalyn or Drake caught him talking to himself. Straightens up and signs his signature. Wanders off::

Hey Gim,

I think Rix has a blade...he doesn't need a dwarven sized hatchet. ::grins to himself::

Are you calling an axe an unworthy weapon? ::hopes Huma knows about the 6 foot knight's Lochaber Battle Axe:: ((I'm 6 foot, the axe is 6 foot long, and 6 foot wide. One heavy sucker by the way.))
