Duelers of Swords,

There is a point when one must return to their roots to prepare for their future. So hence my return to RhyDin and to the Duel of Swords. I have returned in the form of my avatar to once again develop my skills with the blade. I must train for the day when the quest for my soul begins. Until that day comes, I live day by day remembering this writing by a philosopher from my orginal home that has inspried by own personal philosophy.

"And the priestess spoke again and said: Speak to us of Reason and Passion.
And he answered, saying:
Your soul is oftentimes a battlefield, upon which your reason and your judgement wage war against your passion and your appetite.
Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul, that I might turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness and melody.
But how shall I, unless you yourselves be also the peacemakers, nay, the lovers of all your elements?

Your reason and your passion are the rudder and sails of your seafaring soul.
If either your sails or your rudder be broken, you can but toss and drift, or else be held at a standstill in mid-seas.
For reason, ruling alone, is a force confining; and passion, unattended, is a flame that burns to its own destruction.
Therefore let your soul exalt your reason to the height of passion, that it may sing;
And let it direct your passion with reason, that your passion may live through its own daily resurrection, and like the phoenix rise above its own ashes.

I would have you consider your judgement and your appetite even as you would two loved guests in your house.
Surely you would not honour one guest above the other; for he who is mindful of one loses the love and the faith of both.

Among the hills, when you sit in the cool shade of the white poplars, sharing the peace and the serenity of distant fields and the meadows, ---then let your heart say in silence, "God rests in reason."
And when the storm comes, and the mighty wind shakes the forest, and thunder and lightning proclaim majesty of the sky, ---then let your heart say in awe, "God moves in passion."
And since you are a breath of God's sphere, and a leaf in God's forest, you too should rest in reason and move in passion."

For those who wonder why I am the way I am and my views, this is a simple basis of my philosophy. I have come to duel and to enjoy my time in the Arena with my comrades. I shall as ever watch and debate in reason and then move with all my passion for that in which I believe and stand by. I make no proclamations that I am any different than I was before or that I ever will be in the future. For now my only plans here in RhyDin and the
duels is to increase my skill with the blade.

Until, such changes, I look forward to crossing my blade with old friends and new comrades alike in the ring, and share a drink out of the rings.

Rest in reason, move in passion,

He stood against a support pillar for the front entrance of the Red Dragon Inn watching the last bit of full moon dash across the sky. He had returned to RhyDin with his access to his spirits home and other worlds cut off from him for awhile. But finding somewhere to sleep wasn't his only concern of the evening.

He had started out his first night back in the duels with a lousy 0-3-1 start. The staff he found in the basement to use was not his style. He needed to find himself a blade. He missed his orginal blade when he came to DoS, the emerald blade. And then of course there was the dark blade, Draco, that had possessed him. He would need to find something soon. A blade between his hands was the best way for him to duel and he knew it. For now he
would have to try to get along with the staff.

He felt stupid for not thinking of bringing any coins with him when he returned to RhyDin. He forgot what living like a mortal was really like with a sigh. Atleast he wouldn't die or starve, and he really didn't need sleep. So he reserved himself to wandering the streets of RhyDin Towne for awhile to think about things.

Mostly the fact that his SwordsSister, Simini, had been in the duels as well. He had missed her so much and now to see her back upon his return warmed his heart.
