A story from the tenth

This is a story I once heard a while ago. To some, it hopefully will influence that there's always a bright side to everything (Lord knows I sometimes need the reminder).
Many years ago, before lanterns and candles inhabited people's homes, a man sat in his room and realized how dark it was at night. He thought, at that moment, that it was time to find a way to make light inside a house, so he could do activities at night.
He isolated himself from those around him, yet the neighbors always wandered by his house, hearing him release a sigh of frustration at one time or another. He was certainly determined to find a way to make light. To keep record, he used chalk on the walls to tally up each time his attempts didn't work.
Finally, a few months later, people heard the stranger laughing in the night, as he finally lit up his room with a candle. Strangers entered his home, and glanced at the walls. They counted around 2,000 sets of tally marks, and five tallies per set. They were quite astonished by how often he tried.
A few days later, someone approached this man and asked him, "So, what does it feel like to fail 10,000 times?"
The man replied, "I did not fail 10,000 times; I succeeded in finding 10,000 ways that don't make light."
Hopefully that will help some people, whenever they feel low.

::feels like that man, having been in these damn rings too long, 6.5 years of which he stood commoner, and now stands as a WL....::
Your dreams can be accomplished if you have the pacients and the mindset to get them done.
