Dearest Brothers and Sisters of Swords. Greetings from the Twilight Tower.
Please join me in welcoming new duelers IceArrow, and ArmaGeth!
The Fates have decreed that it is time to leave my service to these Honored Halls as Overlord, in more capable hands. It has been a true Honor and privilege serving you as Overlord.
I created this area for a special purpose , and sought to employ other methods to work for the good of Swords. This shall be the final edition of the Druid, as I feel it would be inappropriate to steal attention which should be directed to the New Overlord, his fine victory, and his stated goals.
Please join me in congratulating the new Overlord, Cristian de Oro. He has stated that the purpose of his Challenge was for the good and betterment of Swords. In my opinion, this is truly a worthy a worthy cause. Thus, I pledge my blade, and have asked the Barons who were loyal to me, to offer their loyalty as well.
For what it is worth, I would respectfully ask the remaining ten Barons to consider offering their loyalty to the new Overlord. The task that he has undertaken will require many of us to help aid and sustain him in his efforts.
I have forwarded a sample welcome letter for new duelists to the Overlord. It contains magical runes which will take us to our most important places: History, Etiquette, rules, Scenery, and more. I am hopeful that the Overlord will consider using these for new duelers to the rings.
I thank all of those who shared their stories, personal achievements, compliments to other duelers and momentous events in this area. I thank my wife Topaz, for her unswerving love and support. Please join me in thanking the numerous callers who volunteer their time so that we may enjoy this sport. Without their contributions, we would not be able to come here and have fun. Oftentimes, they receive the opposite of what they deserve. May we pull
together, show them they are appreciated, and offer them our support.
May we revere the memory of the 28th Overlord of Swords, Dalamar Ar'Daumon. May his soul be blest. May we also pray for the souls of Xyclone and Deluthan Heart. May we pray for the recovery of Ajay Bird, and the return of many who have departed our Halls.
I thank all of you who are new friends, and those with whom I remained friends. It was a great learning experience being Overlord. Let us never forget those who have gone before us. May we learn and teach our History, our story. May we seek to be educated of those we have not met, Past and Present. And may we treat our Future, the newcomers to these halls, with the same respect and Honor we would hope to be shown to
ourselves. And may the Gods have Mercy on us all.
