Look now to the words of the lady many of you hold with such high regard. In a knee jerk reaction to a disagreement with another dueler, she held the wish and intent to murder her opponant. Thank the gods for the Ward that apparantly stretches over the arena they were dueling in, else we would have yet another death on our hands. I know that some of you will say that I am exaggerating a bit, but I will ask you this. How do you presume to expect me to
react to Jonalyn's very words that she went into the ring with the intent to "slit her wings, her throat ast well ast gut her like a fish."
How would you, in all honesty, react to someone trying to slit *your* throat? Ward or not, her intent was clearly murderous, to which she also used her magick to further her cause.

1) Though you may not like her for whatever reason, Lady Jonalyn has never lied to me about any facts. I may not like what I hear from her all the time, but once more, she has never lied to me.

Update for the Community.
The pageantry for the Overlords side of this challenge match will be as follows:
I will duel under the Black and Jade of Atrebla, for this match I will also wear a simple tan band to represent the decimation of my Homeland, Krondor.
The Lady Topaz will be at the match should the Baroness still change her mind and desire a challenge of her own.
My Lady of Honor will be the elusive Captain Ellisa Morgan, not only is she a personal friend who will stand for my ever absent wife, but one I would count on to stand by me no matter what I were to decide tonight. I also know that should I ask she would act on my behalf and for that I am grateful.
I have asked, and been honored to have Kalamere Ar' Din stand at my side as my second. I am ever humble and thankful of his twin daggers that he has offered should I call upon them.
The match will be held in the Annex at about midnight tonight. I ask that all Barons who can attend to make the effort for this shall be a grand eve of pageantry and... ::chuckles as he writes:: .....perhaps more.
