Crazy idea for a boring Sunday afternoon...
How about all the title holders retire their titles, and everyone stop dueling?
Or better yet...
How about all the officials stop calling duels, updating the standings and rankings?
Or yet even this...
Both of the above.
Life without Duel of Swords. Let's all just kill the game, and see what happens. Maybe put Swords on hiatus for a full cycle, and when they restart it after a cycle everyone starts at ground zero same position.
No titles holders, everyone's records at 0-0-0, and a new defined set of rules to correct the erroneous mistakes of the past because of bad rules and bad game development?
Just a crazy idea for a boring Sunday afternoon.

personally, I wouldnt mind seeing everything reset to 0-0-0, though those with titles, or those who worked hard for there status, such as Jeff, may not see it the same.

I'd give up my records and claims to past titles if it was across the board for all. It all can be reearned.
The point I was making about the idea is simple. And I know I might get some serious flak for this, but..
How many of the old school duelers, like Luthien, or Beth, or Xenograg, or Cymranger, or Falon, or Seira or any of the others would have actualy made Warlord, or got a nice jump of WoLs if the Fancy rule hadn't been changed?
Back then you automatically scored .5 if you used a Fancy regardless if it worked or if you put it on a defensive or offensive manuever. So if I Fancy Thrust and you Icrcular Parried back then, we each would get .5 a point. So a Warlord, with 4 Fancys, would use 4 fancys the first 4 rounds, and already have 2 points though each round they could have been scored on by their opponent too. Thankfully the rule was changeed.
But you could seriously look at how people became the ranks they did and dissect every rule to see how they got through some loophole or the rule was wishywashy or something else and find fault with it all.
Again, just some food for thought.

::chuckles reading Elijah's post::
I remember, a dear friend of mine taught me the fancy furry, in other words, use all your fancies right away.
