Regarding the Eleventh Ring
From: saraelijah@aol.com (SaraElijah)
Date: 28 Apr 1999 05:24:45 EDT
To my loving community,
This past week I sent my letter of challenge to the honorable baron Gimzak Stonecutter. Though he responded to it some time ago, he has yet to get back to me on which date and time would be good for him. I know he's been busy lately, but I'm hoping this post will push him along to contact me and get this match underway.
My main reasons for challenging are to experience that awesome thrill of a challenge match and to test my own skills as a dueler. I'm kind of a perfectionist. Anyways, should I win, I hope to give the eleventh ring a more active status, though I haven't been around the arena much lately due to all this schoolwork they've been throwing at me. I would post a copy of my letter, but it's kind of boring. You know.
Well, enjoy your day, and I hope to see you in the arena!

Oh look...
Another typical example of someone who just recently made Warlord hurrying up to challenge for a titled position. This lass, Sara, has been a Warlord barely six weeks, and barely has her ten peer wins and boom she challenges as soon as she can. And she expects to be a leader and example of someone to be a role model in this community. I find it personally rather insulting to the sport when individuals such as her do things like this.

Ecore,
How is this insulting? I find nothing wrong with a little title chasing, even though I'm not one myself. She is a very wonderful person, and I have much respect for the little girl. I wouldn't mind seeing her as a baron. She's just out to have fun, and well, you're destroying that thought. While you think she rushes for high rankings, I think she's rushing for the fun of a challenge. I personally, find the rank of warlord boring. Simply because
it's all about challenging the barons and the overlord. What if you don't want to? Considering it, and my conclusion, commoner is fun and warlord is winning.

((oops, forgot I was under -that- screenname. ::rolls eyes:: disregard that last one please.))
Mr. Starke,
Thank you, good sir.
Mr. Ecore,
I expected a comment like this. Try getting a little motivation for once. You know, I've heard that baronial rings can corrupt people, and I'm guessing it's because of stuff like this. You've been around here a while. Was dueling ever fun for you?

Sara,
Good luck, Princess.
Ecore,
Sara is a smart, mature, sweet young woman. I do believe she can be an excellent leader and role model for this community, especially for the younger duelers. Personally, there is no young girl that I'd rather have my own daughter look up to than Sara. I have gotten to know her very well and I believe that she has a higher level of maturity than most of the duelers that frequent the Arena. I, like Drey, am confused by how this is insulting. Perhaps
you could clarify this for the two of us.

Sara is a child. She has no place challenging let alone dueling.
And I know the rest of the children will get all upset because I don't think children should duel, but those kids need to shut up and go play with their toys. They're not mature enough to duel. They're not mature enough to challenge. They're not mature enough to be a figurehead of DoS.
Screw it all. Noone cares.
I hate you.

<m> Oh lord, I think I need to go get my head checked... I actually agree with Gnort. ::pens a little note::
Are you people daft? It doesn't matter if she's the perkiest, most respectful little eleven year old on Gods green earth. She's a little girl, with no place throwing herself into politics or a sport that largely involves hurting people. I wonder how people will react when Gimm guts her like a fish with that axe of his. I bet you'll all be able to ignore how atrocious it is to see a little girl get smacked around like you usually do. Probably blow it
off as being okay cause the wards heal her wounds at the end. Ridiculous.

Interesting, then, how you showed "adult maturity" with the following statement...

Hm... if we're supposed to be the immature ones...

Jesse,
Whether Sara wins or loses, I assure you, she wont be "smacked around". In fact, I'm sure she'd be willing to smack you around a couple of rounds.
I've seen her beat, no no, destroy some of the best.
Go get 'em kid.

The seraph smiles as she places a small note upon the board.
Sweet Sara,
Faith in battle is the greatest victory.
Duel well and believe ... many in youth have proved to be honorable and brave leaders.
It's heart that matters, not size or age. Take care for your opponent is wise and worthy of his ring.

Yea little girl, like the greasy buzzard said, it ain't the size that counts....or age either.
To all you other pencil-necks:
This child has no place in the ring, it ain't a fair fight one way or the other. Either A) she gonna get hurt and old gutbuster is gonna look like the bully or B) he won't be able to give it his best and duel up ta' his potential.
Losin' situation both ways. Although it'll be nice ta' see a kid on the barons council who's more interested in her achne and what's on saturday mornin' cartoons than what's happenin' in the rings.
Although she's probably smarter than some of the people who think they're barons....
One more thing.
When I'm a baron again, if I ever get challenged by a kid, boy or girl, I'm gonna go outa' my way ta' put a hurtin' on them. Not because I hate kids, everyone should own one, but because if ya' gonna play with the big dogs, ya' better get ready ta' get bit.
BRK
I'm better than you, I'm just glad ya' finally realized it.
