"Most esteem and great Shogun Condextint Montoya and most honorable bakufu-Drakewyn Anastasia Alabaster Silvertree, I, Unagi Miyamoto, warlord, hereby issue challenge to Overlord Shogun Condextint Montoya.
Today is of 6th day, 5th month, 25 days before start of warlord tournament on 31st day of 5th month and to my knowledge no other challenges are outstanding.

For personal reasons as well as for preparation for the warlords tournament I wished to have this match take place as soon as possible. The warlord Unagi has not yet received the missive from my messenger so of course the challenge could not take place.
My next choice would be to see the match occur tomorrow night but barring Unagi's reply that I may set that up, I now propose that the match occurs May 14th at midnight by the Eastern Sun.
Incidentally I have now asked for a clear interpretation of the challengers rights. A former match between Warlord Var and the Baron Agrenish was scheduled by the Baron 3 hours before the match. This in my opinion was unfair, but to my knowledge it was never addressed.
I have been informed by the Standings Keeper that the current interpretation is
"Unless the challenger acknowledges the time requested for the duel, there can be no duel. However, just like the defender has one week, the current official interpretation is that the challenger has one week to answer the letter. If they do not, -then- they forfiet."
I wish to stress in this matter in no way do I currently seek Unagi's challenge revoked and still look forward to our match. I simply saw an opportunity to have a personal question clarified after he was unable to receive my missive.
