Billy Ray saunter down the south end of the central marketplace. He had recieved a not from a former employer with specific directions, leading directly to the paupers morgue. Taking a left on noose lane then a right on cutthroat Blvd. Billy read the last few sentences of the note.

"Whatever you do William, retrieve this young womans corpse and bring her to my lair. She will be recognizable by the jagged wound on her throat. She has information only those of my ilk can glean. We have a murderer to uncover.

Yours,
Cullen Kildarby"

Pocketing the slip of paper inside the front pocket of his denims, Billy found the delapitated structure and pushed through the front door. The stench slammed him like a physical blow. Covering his nose from the miasma of rotting flesh he spent the better part of five minutes finding the stiff he wanted.
"It's freakin' crazy how many people die in a week around here." Billy mused. Death was nothing new to him, it was a part of life. Cradling the ripening body in his muscular arms he made his way towards the exit.
"What in the name of God are you doing with that body!" A wet, nasaly voice screamed from behind him. Wheeling Billy saw a greasy haired armpit of a man waving a gloved hand at him. "Put her back before I call the gaurd!" He howled furiously.
"She's family. I'm here to claim the body." Billy narrowed his eyes at the man and turned towards the door once again.
"For my records....I need her name and your relation to her. We were unable to identify the body." The man sounded wounded, like a child who just had one of it's toys taken away.
"Her name is Jane Doe, I'm her brother John." Billy said tiredly as he pushed out into the fresh air, having little time for beaurocrats of any kind. Shifting the body over his shoulder so her feet hung in front of his chest, Billy sauntered off whistling.
As he turned back down the trash strewn Noose Lane he hitched the cadaver into a more comfortable position and smacked her on the rump. "Come on girl, we got a long way ta' walk."
