Furiously copying the words of the wise Xenograg onto an aged scroll. Information like this was rare in the coming and of more value that sheets of silk and aged wine.
Geronimo Algernon muttered to himself as he hustled away from the boards, "Now if I could just gather all of my resources about the very first warlords tournament, I could really tell a story...I know I have them somewhere. Maybe that sweet Nenshen woman could help me locate them."

After reading, Simini sat at a table, staring into Ring Two, her mind filled with the memories it contained. The Scribe's post had brought back so many vivid images, it was like experiencing them all over again.
She'd not been allowed to participate in the Tournament. The fact that she was the only member of Bishop's Chapel that had not yet attained rank had left a mellow taste of disappointment in her mouth; yet it was with prideful eyes she watched from the sidelines as her SwordBrother - and so much more - became the first bearer of the Sixth Ring. She found it perfect irony that the Sixth now adorned Lupton's hand.
And then, another Chapelmate became a Baron. Kalamere, Ulath, Alkron, Siera; although she'd been on familiar terms with all of the Nine, these were the few she was close to, or would become so in the future. So many memories, and most of them a pleasure to relive.
With a soft smile, she rose from her chair, clear blue eyes sweeping the empty rings once again. She was so proud of her sport, and felt so privileged to have been witness - if not a qualified participant - of an important part of its history.
It was good to remember.

Mr. Algernon~
My thanks for rekindling the memories. With my sparce participation at that time, I had not kept the details of those grand days in my memory. Let us hope that these times will remembered as fondly...and let us hope that these times earn those memories.
Appreciatively,
~Sidartha Elgarette

The old soldier seemed to grow more distant with each passing season, living less in the present and ever more in his past.
For that reason, one post stood out more than the others... For its accuracies and inaccuracies, it was a construct of another time and set him to thinking late into the night.
