Letter from a Prisoner

Dear Friends,

I was captured by the Roman Army last Friday as I was leaving the Duelers Arena. Apparently, the Romans finally found the portal to Rhydin and also found the Arena, where it was known that I spend my Friday evening.

I was tried Sunday on the charge of being a Christian, which was declared a week ago to be against the law. I pleaded no contest, and was found guilty. I was sentenced to death, the execution to take place on the Nones of June (June 5). The execution is to take place at the second hour of darkness (8:00 PM.)

I ask all of you to please petition Diocletian, the Roman emperor, for my freedom. I have seen cases where the Emperor has freed people because of the care shown by his friends.

Whether you are my friend, or my foe, I ask you to please spare an innocent man's life. Please send your petitions to me, and I will make sure that they reach the Roman Emperor.

May God smile upon all of you, and I hope that I will see you all soon.
