Mimi returned to the arena with a single purpose, and Altara would not deny her this -- this last chance to right the wrong she had started. Purpose, there had to be a purpose, but the Hands of Fate made way for recompense. Altara was not in the arena, so blood was not be spilled in the hour that followed.

Sapphire roamed to the place where ambit was marked. The crimson trickle around the circumference was in tact. Again in that habitual formation, the circles where marked with another touch of blood and the circle made. When the task at hand was complete, madness had seemingly set in.

Muted muttered words escaped Mimi as she spoke obscurely of "the splitting." Further madness had brought a single silver blade from within her cloak and then across the room it flew hitting the banner of one once familiar the pointed end of the blade stuck firmly to it's place. The material on that banner torn now, as it should have been long ago. She cursed the supposed "Hands of Fate" and made toward the exit.

Friends held great concern for the stray now gone mad. Spike caught Mimi before she could exit and made effort to right what was amiss. It was too soon and Mimi knew this would not be the third in the circle, the second had been broken was she was denied, yet somehow -- by some estranged measure of Fate, confirmation came.

The question had to be asked of Spike, "The splitting do you agree?"

"Tis seen lass, tis seen. " Whence, confirmed, all other words that passed from her friend's lips were lost to the artist. What another broke, was now mended in that very moment. A small flicker of hope reborn, the tiny ember had all but been quenched until that moment.
