A couple of days after the match with Elijah, Dae sat mewing about on the throne in the Dragonsblade Castle at Moranda. He didn't know exactly why though..he did wish that he could have beaten Elijah, but he had no regrets. Despite the fact that many despise Elijah, Dae and himself had always been friendly to one another..and even though he challenged him, people do that sometimes..stopping on that thought..a small grin
appeared on Dae's countenance. He had directed all mail from the Castle Daelin to be delievered to Moranda, no longer would he allow Marit to get her hands on it before him. Anyone that knew Daelin's normal appearance would think this to be a slightly different man..a small gruff coarse beard of stubble grew around his lower face and his emerald eyes had turned a deep cold sea-green. His light brown almond hair turned dark as well..and no matter
where he stood, it seemed like half his face was in shadow. It was his killer instinct returning. He suffered major devastation throughout the course of a week. Almost as soon as he set foot back in Rhydin, he had gotten word from various people that Marit was having an affair. At first he didn't believe it..but then the story got more frequent, Marit and Zen having an affair..even Jaycy was in some stories. He still didn't know whether to believe
it..he thought Zen and himself were good friends, but he'd attend to that later..he smiled wickedly again and patted a scroll on the side of his belt..just then, his brother Genn walked in and cocked a stone-grey eye at him.

"What are you doing, sitting there looking like your plotting something..or somethings?"

Dae snarled and half-spit across the room. "Maybe."

Genn shrugged. "Ahh well..about what now? I thought you'd planned to resume things like normal when you returned there."

Dae nodded. "I do..but that would take at least a month, or a couple of weeks. I'll plan that when I get there. But first, I have to find someway to stay under cover for the other plan when I do return."

Genn puzzled for a moment then answered. "The other plan? Oh yes..well I stationed some Guard out at the Castle Daelin..even when she comes home she won't see them."

Dae shook his head. "And if she doesn't come home? And what about inside?"

Genn smiled back to his younger brother. "Oh the inside..she won't see them either. And as for her not coming home.." he paused then snickered. "We know where he lives too."

Dae felt a small tug of sadness at his heart. He didn't like doing this to his friend, but he had to know if it was true. And if it was...well, off goes the friendship..and the wedding..with that he nodded to Genn and slumped back into the throne.

Marit returned tfrom her outing at the Language center, checking to see if Daelin had any mail. None.

"How odd. The missive box is usually stuffed, " she said, shaking her head.

She went straight up into their bedroom and readied to slip into bed. She needed sleep. She had performed three healings, one each night, in the past three days and the last had not gone right.

The first night she had healed Falabrah of the Bladesingers TDL team. The results from that healing only cause her a slight drunkenness affect.

The second evening, she had approached the inn to meet with Zen and ran into Jaycy and Alex. An officer rode up on his horse requesting the presence of one, Jaycynda Ashleana, as he so stated.. Zen, Alex, and Marit were shocked to find out that he wanted to place her under arrest. Marit slipped back out of sight as a crowd started to gather to watch and she casted a fireball off in the distance. This went exactly as she had planned, with
Jaycy taking advantage and disappearing from the scene. The officer was quick to react though as he forged into the inn after the gypsy. Zen and Alex chased after him while the officer chased after Jaycy. Marit had slipped in the back way to help her friends. All three ended up in the Duel of Swords arena where Zen held down the officer and Jaycy fled into the kitchen and disappeared in there. Alex somehow broke his ankle; hence Marit performed
a healing. Jaycynda showed up just in time to see Marit fall into the trance which followed every time after a healing. She informed Zen that Marit needed sleep and Zen escorted the Aztecdraconian home.

The third evening, Marit went to the arena to engage in usual activities.and sighted the usual. She sat on Zen's lap, flirting with him. She was not exactly aware of how things looked to others. She was surprised to see Sara there as it had seemed ages since she saw her friend. This reminded her that she still needed to have that talk with Sara as the situation with Gauriel and Whitey preyed her mind.
She mingled and flirted with Zen some more until the whine of a child caught her attention. She had not noticed Crono sitting on Sara's lap before but then again she had only merely glanced that way. She excused herself from Zen's lap and walked straight away toward Sara and Crono.

Sara's face lifted in relief. Crono had wanted Marit's attention. However, when Marit tried to explain to the child that she had not really seen him...he reacted stubbornly. Marit decided to pick him up and swing him around. She jested with him that she was going to tickle him. She did pick him up and tried to cheer him with a spin. She set him down and he immediately vomited.

Marit felt guilty, but soon found out that it was not exactly her doing that caused the sickness. Sara felt Crono's head. He was fevered. Twirling around would not cause this; there was something else gone wrong. Marit asked Sara to find a cool wash cloth.

Marit did not hesitate in her wanton to heal him. Healing a child did not cause as much affect on her body as would an adult. She layed Crono on the table and told him that she would make his tummy pain go away. She explained to him that it was very important he did not say one word while she performed the healing.

Crono did not listen. He jumped off the table crying, "dat hurt" and ran away. Marit fell onto the floor and hit her head, resulting in a gash. Blood oozed out. Sara, Zen, and Casey reacted quickly. Casey fetched the salts Sara had asked her to get while Zen helped hold the bandage and applied pressure to the gash.

The salts did succeed in bringing Marit to consciousness. Upon opening her eyes, every person she saw, she saw double. Apparently she had fell so hard and hit her head it knocked her sight off-balance. She kept her eyes closed.

Marit remembered that she had tried to heal Crono and figured quickly that he had not listened. But he was a child and this was easy to forgive. He was close-by and she wanted to talk to him, with the intention of making him feel better. Again, he ran off, this time disappearing from the arena.

Zen, once again, took Marit home.

As Marit slipped the covers up over her, she inhaled the blanketed smell of Daelin. She missed him greatly.

She had certainly tried to spend time with him but his sovereign duties kept him busy. So busy that when night's end came, it seemed he needed his slumber more than her. She wanted to support him and she figured the best way to do it was by being understandable and not adding any more pressures.

Restlessness dawned inside her and each night, she slipped out of the bed, going to the portal, entering the other end which brought her to the Castle and from there she went to the arena.

Marit closed her eyes and thought about the recent events this past week. She had become close to Zen and he seemed to understand how much she missed Daelin. He was so easy to talk to, too. He felt like the brother she never had. He had cared enough to take care of her in the past week, seeing her home and safe for Daelin.

She had fallen asleep on Zen's lap due to all the body stresses of the healing and still seeing slightly double.

Marit turned to the side and lay her head on her hand as she thought about what happened when she fell asleep.

Zen had shook Marit slightly from her dream. He had noticed a slight disturbance of something in her expression and questioned it. Marit told him it was nothing. But it did bother her a bit.

In the dream, she was laying in her bed and Zen had walked into her and Daelin's bedroom. She asked Zen to come closer to her and called him sexy even. In the dream, she and Zen, were having an affair. Zen had come close to plant kisses on her neck when Daelin entered.

"What are you doing with my wife?" he asked.

Zen supplied him with excuses.
Daelin withdrew his sword and his intentions were obvious. Marit shouted, "No!" in the dream, but was also shouting the same in the arena which resulted in Zen's attention of waking her.

Marit fell asleep once again. Dreams again. Crazy Dreams. She was in a pool with Jaycy when the gypsy stripped.
"What are ye doing, Jaycy?"
"Zen's coming."
Marit stripped too.
Zen showed as Jaycy had informed and upon seeing the two ladies, stripped. His feet were those of a duck. He jumped into the pool, all of the water, every bit, being splashed out. Then rain in the form of blood replaced the empty pool.
The scene changed over to Marit and Zen in bed together confessing love to one another. That scene was short.
The next scene involved Casey. Her head was sticking out of a table and she was moaning with pleasure. Moaning Marit's name. Marit proceeded to beat Casey's head every time she hit, she shouted, "I am sorra, I am sorra."

"Zen!" Marit was calling for help in the dream. She was saying this aloud as he once again answered to it.

For a couple of nights, a man had sat in the Arena..a strange man in a dark cloak he shook his head with disgust every time he saw Marit and Zen..his hands playing the motions of Ancient Dragonian spells..very destructive spells. Each night after they left together, the man pulled back his hood of the cloak and a mane of ebony black hair with ice-blue eyes surfaced. Anyone who had seen him before would know this to be
Gennon Dragonsblade..but only a few knew that..and none were present..he followed his brother's so called "Friend" and fiance for awhile..then two men dressed as merchants followed them to the edge of town while the 5 men outside the Castle Daelin stood watching..

Genn mused.."Zen Rising..we meet at last. Heaven help you if my brother finds out about this."

At the Castle, the leader of the Dragonian Guard stationed outside, Talroon shook his head..

"This is disgusting, If Dae knew what was good for him, he'd stay home. Claudia would never dream of doing this."

With that, Talroon withdrew his mithril crossbow, instructing the 2 men on the castletop to do the same..while the men in the woods withdrew shortswords. Talroon wasn't going to shoot..but he wanted to.

One day, soon..he'd get his chance.
