On the tenth day of the sixth month, I, Jaycynda Ashleana, did witness and officiate the challenge match brought forth from the Warlord Elijah Eagle Ecore to the Holder of the Seventh Baronial Ring, Daelin Dragonsblade.

The Warlord did duel under no banner; refusing to until he became a title holder again. All his comrades of the past he named as his second, and his Lady of Honor was every lass who has made him smile. He dueled with the dark blade, Draco.

The Baron did duel under a banner of royal blue with a blazing gold dragon set on it at full wingspan, clutching two swords in its talons. This is the coat-of-arms of the Dragonsblade family as well as Dragonia. He had no second, and his Lady of Honor was the absent lady Marit Takcouma. He dueled with his platinum greatsword, 'Warfare', legacy of the Dragonsblades and chosen weapon of the Dragonian Holy Swordsmen.

The match was as follows.

Round One.
This day marks an anniversary for the Baron, and yesterday one for the Warlord. Each now wishes to mark that, with the Seventh. They begin their quest strong; yet Ecore stronger first; thrusting under the Baron's opening high cut.
(( TH/HC ))
One to Zero, E's favor.

Round Two.
Again the Warlord seeks blood and a point, and his attack is swift and dangerous. Daelin, perhaps feeling the bite of the last round, now seeks to defend himself. But alas, as his high parry is begun, Ecore snakes Draco under the defense to strike; and gain his second point.
(( LC/FLP ))
Two to Zero, E's favor.

Round Three.
The Warlord now stands ahead two points; and is that is much closer to taking this match. He continues the onslaught, but as he did in the first round; now Daelin is faster; beating him to the attack and scoring his first point.
(( HC/TH ))
Two to One, E's favor.

Round Four.
Just as quickly as a lead is made; so a lead can be lost. The same is true, however, for someone seekinmg to make up ground. The Baron began to close the gap last round, but now E widens it again, in a stunning display of defense.
(( FDU/FCP ))
Three to One, E's favor.

Round Five.
I am quite impressed with the match thus far; the skill of both men is incredible. Again as the deficit was two, it is now one, as Daelin thrusts this time over E's low cut.
(( LC/TH ))
Three to Two, E's favor

Round Six.
Not yet in this challenge match has someone not scored; and this round is no exception. However, the pattern is broken as it is not the Warlord who scores; but the Baron. Daelin's fancy lateral parry is perfectly timed to deflect E's high cut.
(( HC/FLP ))
Three to Three.

Round Seven.
Only once before has the Warlord looked to defend; and now he does again. Before, his fancy duck proved faster than Daelin's circ parry. Now... with dual low parries, nothing is scored.
(( FCP/FCP ))
Three to Three.

Round Eight.
The thrust has been a very key move in this match; each of the three so far scoring. Will this continue to hold true? Daelin moves the blade down to strike, and is caught by the Warlord's thrust.
(( TH/LC ))
Four to Three, E's favor.

Round Nine.
This round is indeed very pivotal to both duelers. One swift strike by either, and the match will either turn, or be over. Daelin has continued his attack, and it is swift and powerful. As he begins to commit, E steps away; to which the Baron compensates. However, at the last second his attack is once more straight-forward, and misses as the Warlord moves smoothly from its path.
(( FSS/TH ))
Five to Three, E's favor.

Thus the Warlord did sucessfully win the right to bear the Seventh Ring of the Duel of Swords, by a score of five to three in nine rounds. The new Baron did declare himself Neutral to the crown, but Loyal to the rings.

(( EagleEcore def. IXDaelinXI, 5-3 in 9 rounds. ))

Signed and Sealed,
Jaycynda Ashleana

E~

Y'know, a girl tries to show up to a match and look what happens!

All kidding aside, well done, my friend. Hold the ring long, and hold it well.
