~Let it be heard throughout the Dueling Community...

I Stormi, did hereby bear witness to the Challenge issued forth by the Warlord Tournament winner, Warlady Kaprielle d'Argent to Overlord Unagi Miyamoto this 16th day of the 6th month. The intercession duel of one was the chosen format.
Warlady d'Argent dueled in her colors of black on black, as always. Standing as her Second, in absentia, was the honorable Warlord William Karnafexx. The Warlady did also duel for the honor of her lover and Second, William Karnafexx. Her weapon of choice was her trusted sabre, *Gifted*.
Overlord Unagi Miyamoto, shogun, and retainer to Queen Luthien Tinuviel, dueled under a banner of sky blue, bearing the white cherry blossoms of the Yoshino. Standing as Second to the Overlord was Lord Fyn McTege, First Retainer of House Miyamoto. The Overlord did duel for the honor of the gracious and lovely Luthien Tinuviel. His weapons of choice were his Shirasaya (long blade), a Tanto (short
blade), and a small barbed hook called a Shuriken.
The duel did proceed as follows:
RD 1: Kaprielle started cautiously stepping back from center as Unagi raised his blade in a sweeping high cut. 1-0 Overlord Unagi

RD 2: Unagi bides his time awaiting the next advance by Kaprielle who cuts high, leaving her mid-section exposed to Unagi's thrust. 2-0 Overlord Unagi

RD 3: Kaprielle reverses her cut, swinging Gifted low; only to find Unagi has rounded a fancy circular parry to block before the cut can strike.
3-0 Overlord Unagi

RD 4: Unagi fancily steps back and around the fancy circular parry of Kaprielle to make the score 4-0 Unagi

RD 5: Kaprielle sweeps in low, Gifted aimed for the knees. Unagi turns the edge of his blade in a fancy circular parry to secure a perfect duel and retain his title. 5-0 Overlord Unagi

Overlord Unagi Miyamoto retains his Crown and title as the 32nd Overlord of the Duel of Swords.

My respects Overlord Miyamoto and Warlady d'Argent.

Scribed and sworn this day

Let it be know that the results do not reflect the skill of warlord champion. The kami of the rings favor one or another as they see fit.

As the elf reads over the results of the challenge match, his eyes widen. This is one of the rare occasions where you see Arrin with not much to say, but he does manage to pen a few words...

Nice.

Dear Overlord Unagi,

Your stunning win is a victory not just for the Crown, but the people of the Duels and all of Rhydin.

May your path always be of light and honor.

Overlord,

Excellent first defense by the shutout against an experienced veteran of skill. Sometimes you can get a step ahead and your opponent simply can't recover regardless of skills possessed, momentum can be unfriendly for some and a gift for others.

Overlord Unagi Miyamoto,

The reign of the eel continues. May I say that thine concern expressed for Kaprielle d'Argent following this match speaks highly of the man thou art.

Tis those what seem to be impressed by the swiftness of the duel and who do proclaim a new era and other such drivel hae nae looked well upon thee, Unagi Sama. Shallow fools, seeming to abound much like the stones upon a broad expanse of shore. One must look with gentler and wiser heart. There yet abound those what feel that a record ist the measure by which to hold a person in esteem. Indeed, again more fool they for such isna the measure of
annaone.

Overlord Unagi,

A fine display of swordsmenship. I apologize to only you, for not having delivered the skill I'm clearly capable of. The timing for me was not right. Mayhaps another time.

Regards,

Kaprielle..

Unagi~

Impressively won! I'm sorry I didn't make it in time to see more than the last round.

Kappy~

You do yourself injustice. It was valiantly tried.
